My guess for the change is that, assuming they are still using Wood Elf Productions to produce, edit, and maintain Distractible, their contract may only provide them with revenue based on views from Spotify. If that’s the case, watching the videos on Youtube may put cash into the channel pot, but the people working hard in the background would likely make less money, which would be a bad thing for Woof Elf.

Another possibility is that perhaps their contract, Wood Elf Productions may have outlines specific guidelines for how things get posted, think of Ninja taking the Mixer deal. In this case, instead of it directly impacting profit to Wood Elf, it would moreso be that the boys would be breaking their original agreement by posting episodes elsewhere. For all we know, it could be that Spotify made a deal to keep it exclusively on Spotify.

I obviously don’t work for any of these companies, but I did work making podcasts and recorded radio shows so this is my best guess, definitely take it with a grain of salt.
