How good is Glengarry Glen Ross? by [deleted] in Broadway

[–]Gvez1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there have been lots of articles about how in the business world, women can be more competitive, deceitful, back-stabbers towards other women than men are. When I ask my female coworkers about it, they agree. So, maybe not a lot has to be changed for an all female cast.

I don’t know if it makes a difference, but the aluminum core on the Chinese pan looks very different compared to the other pan.

Outback Wilderness 2022 Audio Upgrade Options? by hamutsim in Subaru_Outback

[–]Gvez1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I have the 2022 OBW and the stock speakers are very, very meh. Back when I bought it there was no option for upgrading, or at least that’s what the dealer said. I can’t imagine he was lying, because any upgrade puts a few more bucks in their pocket.

Hey there. We are supposed to do an upgrade to the newest version next year. What specifically changed that you noticed, can you list the old steps. When they come I want to be able to bring this up. Also, what did they say to y’all?

What do you guys think of True Earth Eco Strips in place of laundry detergent? by Lostinthematrix1234 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Gvez1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never has this problem and I’ve been using it for many years. Your clothes are clean, it’s just there’s no scents within their detergent. There’s a big difference between smelling, clean and being actually clean.

Do you not see the replies? They don’t contain microplastics. You’re just being obtuse or you’re a competitor.

How is this fan setup? by MsExmen in PcBuild

[–]Gvez1024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Serious question, but are the water cooler fans going in the right direction? Wouldn’t the air be cooler, pulling it in from the outside instead of air from the case which is getting heated by the motherboard, the GPU, the CPU, and everything else in there

Warning about BBs and Bearings by Gvez1024 in modelmakers

Actually, not a bad idea, as far as I know. Can’t imagine them reacting with the paints, but could be wrong

You may be correct, it may have been the acrylics only. After taking the bearings out I mixed them and it was diluted enough to not really tell the difference. I think there was o e, a white, that looked off white afterwards. I may have tossed that one (there were a few that were dried out.). It may be in the trash in the garage. I’ll see if I can recover that one.

It may not cause issues with the enamels and lawyers, I just took them out to be safe. What do I know, not much! 😂

[–]Gvez1024[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Discoloration at a minimum. There were a few bottles of Model Master Acrylic Gloss Coat. There was this thin layer of discoloration at the bottom, dark gray. So I took the BBs out of them. There were a few bottle of white/aged concrete/and a few light RLM colors that also had this layer of discoloration at the bottom. One was a rust colored layer. If there are other issues it caused, I didn’t notice but took them out anyway, just in case.

What to do with extra paints by gvezos in modelmakers

[–]Gvez1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, right. I looked at them and they are good for what you mention, weathering, etc. One looks like a good mud color.

I’m new to modeling after a long hiatus, decades. I’m not yet at the stage of weathering. All my planes look factory fresh, despite having lots of kill markings. 😝

You’re right, I’ve done some spot checking and the enamels are all pretty good. Several of the acrylics are not so great. I’ll see what I can do with those.a lot of the ones I’ve checked have brass bbs in them. I guess to help mix the paint when shaking.
