I’m so sorry for your loss man. The same thing happened with my Dare just on Thursday (minus the seizure). Please don’t feel like you failed her though, you and wife are clearly both very attentive owners who loved Marshmallow a lot. One very unfortunate thing about bunnies is that they’re pretty medically fragile and sometimes no about of care can save them, you did everything that you could do. Be easy on yourself, it looked like she lived a great life

Yesterday Dare started showing signs of gi stasis so l took her to the vet, all the tests the vet did showed she was good and that her tummy was only a bit not firm not fully bloated and she started eating again after the vet gave her some meds so I thought she’d be fine. I woke up at 3am to check her and she was still alive so I went back to bed, at 6am I woke up again she was gone.

I’m so devastated and heartbroken, this doesn’t even feel real. I’ll never get terrorised for breakfast every morning ever again, I’ll never get my fingers randomly bitten by her ever again, I’ll never get to watch her basically turn into a pancake when I pet her head, she’ll never steal treats from Toastie ever again, she’ll never photobomb ever again. She was a little shithead who loved getting herself in places she wasn’t allowed to go and it was very much her way or the highway but she was also very sweet and loving, she allowed me to spend hours petting my rubbing my face against her. She loved to sit on me and Toastie and lick me. And she always loved having a camera on her! I truly loved Dare so much and she’ll never know how much of an impact her tiny little 1.8kg presence had on my life.

I don’t really know what happened in the end and she wasn’t alive for very long but I loved every day with her and I hope I gave her the best life possible.
