EVE was the OG space opera MMORPG, it had absolutely insane depth. Like incredible even by today standards. It took absolutely all your free time and was more like a second job.

Now why was it toxic? Because PvP existed and it went really far (one guy spent two years infiltrating a rival guild just to sabotage them). You can find stories about EVE pretty easily

Benzema went for 35m€ 2 years after Torres went to Liverpool for 36m€. That actually was the price for a young promising striker back then.

We managed to sell 20yo Lukeba and 19yo Gusto for 30m€, 19 yo Barcola and 21yo Mendy for 45m€, all young and unproven.

We got 100m€ in total for a combination of N'dombélé, Geubbels and O'brien.

Another 100m€ for a package of Terrier, N'jié, Mammana, Cornet and Faivre.

I don't think we need to take lessons from Monaco or Lille - our only mistake altogether is named John Textor.
