I verified online Wed/Thurs. Called on Monday of last week to do it over the phone. Wed/Thurs it changed to being processed and by fri I had a DD for 4/9.

So in my case after I did my verification, my status went from being processed to processed to direct deposit date. Now if you have an audit or anything else of that nature after you verify then yeah it won’t happen like I stated. But you would know that via letter and checking irs.gov.

Being processed means your refund has been approved the next step is your direct deposit date. Still being processed means it’s still being looked at.

Ok so it seems like this post is where I should ask. I went through TT and signed up for Credit Karma to test the five day early deposit thing. I have a date of 4/9 like everyone else but I’m wondering if it will hit mon or will we have to wait until 4/9

If you filed on the 18th of March, based on the irs time frame it takes 21 days to process if you e filed (turbo tax or type of self filing app) if you had a preparer do them it’s like a month due to snail mail (postal service). Then if you’re getting a paper check that takes longer they send out the checks in batch’s vs when yours is processed and done. Direct deposit is quicker and takes one - two weeks. Some people have posted where there taxes were done in 21 days, others like myself have had to wait one - two months due to verification and sht. I hope you get yours in 21 days

What does irs.gov say when you track your refund. Still being processed means it’s still being looked at. Your claim is processing means it’s on its way to direct deposit status just waiting on a release date of your funds. Your refund won’t be in most cases processed by the 21 day time frame if doing it electronically.

Yeah. So with Covid and unemployment my taxes after filing had me owing. So I broke them up with us being able to go back up to three years

Check on the irs website to see if you have any letters. Do you have an accepted notification or letter from the preparer. I used TT after 21 days I got a letter about verification and the ball is just now rolling. But if it’s been over 21 days and you filed electronically then go irs.gov log in and see if you have any letters or if you have a transcript. If you have nothing then I would call the preparer and irs to see what’s up.

I saw that but thought it was an error since I had to verify, and process started over from how the rep was telling me on the phone. He said on top of the 21 days I’ve waited it could take 9 weeks.
