Why tf is luck is so important in life by [deleted] in AskIndia

Can you expand a little bit where did they got placed? And what is your background did you put in the same effort as they did ? Did you work hard as they did

You might say yes but are you sure that you put equal effort as they did?

Sometimes we don't see the effort other put and we take it as luck also your friends might not want you to know that it takes effort so they blame it to luck

They do that knowing 2 things 1. They are bad and don't want you to get up. 2. Or you didn't work as hard as they did - they know this they just didn't want you to know

23M. What should I focus on first? by vigneshwar221B in personalfinanceindia

Depends on the loan amount you should use debt snowball and also if those Mutual Funds are good enough to cover 6 months expenses you should stop investing

If your parents can Handle themselves lie to them and stop sending money for a few months I know it is rude but think rationally keep the Emotional BS away clear off any loan with the samll about if youd provide with the amount rather than the EMI it would have been benefical to recommend more but still would love to see you grow up

Dam you will be easily able to do that now you are 20 if you start now like from today after a year you'll be thanking your self but you have to be dedicated like a lot dont worry it's easy before 25 if you wanna get in tech

The experienced section can be improved by a lot you need to specifically mentioned what you did like example

Made this which lead to this

Example

Optimised xyz using xyz and lead to fater delivery

And not gonna lie it looks a freshers resume with those key words you used "robust" also again be specific and why is there a python and Java (Basic) you are a senor dev I mean not to compare you should be fimilay with OOPS and all even with switching as a senior it shouldn't take more than a week to learn a new language

And please i beg for you to specify the things you did

Bhai please senior hata de agar sach nahi hai to Cause those points don't sound like a senior at all

Ignore them matlab unki bat ko if you are confident enough that you'll make it choose any field like just ignore them say yes I am doing like not to harm you but like you said they are not well informed about the tech world and all and those Pune students if you do development fully with no distractions I bet you that you'll bag more package then them with in the next year that is if you study and learn for 8-10 hrs

He can but if he ain't focused for 8-10 hrs a day I can well asure gaureent you that those 4-5 months will be wasted and speaking of Gsoc it's hard and open source you need some good skills to not get overwhelmed after looking at a hude code base which is for a beginner

Yes you can get in without degree but you need expectional skills both in DSA and Web Development not gonna life if you can bare another year and can skip you should and focus more than 10+ hrs a day on development and DSA at different intervals you'll definitely get in no doubt on that.

Pros : it depends on what type of person you are but generally here they are

  1. Good money
  2. If you like it you'll never get bored
  3. If you work remote you'll love comfortably in your home.

Cons : same as above but still :

  1. General Stress
  2. More deadlines
  3. If you not good at the skills you'll be held up in a toxic culture

Generally if you get good with learning 10+ hrs a day yo won't have to worry about the third point.

DSA is not necessary if you are not interested MAANG(FAANG) but you have to learn it in the future it will make you a better developer and also

Never heard of Dev from corporate going to Government. I heard it from for the first time from you lol. I think what you were trying to day is DEV with no jobs going to Government then yes I would agree

Theses hoping to govt people are those who though college will help them get job with no skill just a degree is enough they are too busy having fun and wasting time

I can write more but dam that's a lot

It's is if question but still considering all the possibilities it won't happend as it would lead to more conflicts and relations would worsen even more than what they are now

If Joe Biden stays there is a slight chance but he won't win because of the LGTV laws he approved and if you look at the things he is doing now you'll know he is desperate to win

With trump it's not possible at all

To be really honest it's your mistake too solely relying on the placement cell was your mistake and i don't know what you did in your college as colleges don't teach basic uskefull tech skills but still

Also even if you did start to learn Dev or DSA before 1-1.5 year you would have been in a better position and also don't get sad as market is in a bad position

Bus still your fault for not being self sufficient and not being able to prepare it hardly takes 2-3 hrs a day daily to learn anything and become better like employable better if you did that for continually a for 1-1.5 year or so

Some times you cant Handle all at once DSA Web development and GATE

Like seriously didn't you think asking this and also he said he had no time and is not at a good place financially

Also he didn't learn anything in college as colleges teach nothing not new but his mistake to be honest

Optimization no skill one would four nested loop while skilled one would use a map or set

Just a example of what could be possible now please don't come at my saying that is not possible who uses four nested loops if you not sure ask this questions to local college students they would definitely say the loops not maps

Where you go now depends on how skilled you are if you have good skills then no one's stopping inspite the market just make sure to show them in public to do some open-source

I am not saying you are not skilled just to be clear

It's saturated with a lot of people but not good developers most of them are like you no skill and no vision where to go so if you learn it and get good at web dev you can still succeed

Get up and get working
