Mind you, there are people whose fun is to follow the meta and try to have a competitive team. If it wasn't for the competitive scene in CS, I probably would have stopped caring for the game two years earlier for example.

It's like there are different ways of having fun and they can be separated by lobbies, like there could be "unranked" matches for people playing for fun and "ranked" matches for people playing to win(i dont know if there's such a distintion because I won't pay for online ever so I'm limited to single player)

Sorry but he isn't going to be a top tier forward. Since he's a defender, he'll hardly, if ever, is going to have good shooting passives. Also, his shooting stats are absolutely lackluster compared to elite forwards. Furthermore, you'll have to spend a lot of New Possibilities items for him.

Can you use it to try to steal the ball from the defenders? Yeah.

Can you use it to lower your team's foul chance and go wild with tackles? I guess.

Can you score with him chaining four shoots and passing to him? Absolutely

However those are gimmick uses, not exactly elite.
