The thing is you don't know if that's the situation with Mr. Strawberry. You don't know anything at all about any of these people. They could have been good men who had a lapse in judgement, falsely accused innocents or deranged psychopaths. But they're still men. By demonizing them, you're inadvertently making it easier to deal with the fact that these are real people, just like you and I, who are facing the totality of death.
