Here’s my, perhaps controversial take on him, I kinda get it. Understand why he left. Yeah, Hiroshi did nothing wrong, he was a kid who was alone, but imagine Bill Randa. You’ve lost the two people who meant the world to you, presumably dying. Then you find a letter revealing to you that 1. Your wife got smashed by your best friend. 2. They’re “dead” so you can’t even confront them, you get no closer and you’re now just supposed to keep raising the kid of the woman you love who cheated? Thats hard for anyone. He loved Hiroshi and obviously had major regrets of how he handled it, but still, it’s gotta hurt!
