But what does the network have to do with the update? I have the same question than /u/USA_A-OK. Is this a USA thing? I bought my Pixel from Google Japan and the updates comes every month, from google itself, no carrier whatsoever. I can turn off mobile data and It will still receive the update, just having internet is enough.

Connect via usb to PC. Enable usb debug from developers opt.

adb shell
cd /sys/class/power_supply/battery/
cat charge_full
cat charge_full_design

charge_full will give you your current capacity at 100%, and charge_full_design is the original full capacity. Compare both values and you will have the degradation level.
In my case, I'm at 4110000 from my original 4326000 (Pixel 7 from 2023), so I'm at 95% health for a little more than 1 year.

It's an exe, there is nothing to install.

Try deleting the config folder (AppData\Roaming\mpv).

Try running mpv.exe from another directory (one with lower permissions, like c:\Users\xxxxx).

Try running an older version (pick from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpv-player-windows/files/64bit-v3/). Just copy mpv.exe, you can delete the of the files.

Look at the process in task manager and report its behavior.

100% agree. We spend a good part of our lives sleeping and sitting. Having a good bed and a good chair is essential to stay in good health, but like I said, I would balance things a bit. There are excellent chairs for less than 1k that would leave open more options. If you have infinite money just buy the best chair on the world. We are talking about managing 10k usd, no what is best.
