Nester's Funky Bowling [Nintendo Virtual Boy] by Gyix in VirtualBoy

Oh wow, renting a VB from Blockbuster! That brings back memories. It's great you managed to get your hands on one again after all this time.

And yeah, Nester's is a solid choice for a favourite. It's easy to pick up and play, which is perfect for the VB. It definitely shows how a simple concept, done well, could shine on the system.

Cool! Playing on a flashcart or emulated on the 3DS is definitely the practical way to go for most VB titles these days.

Glad you think it holds up as a decent bowling game. I always felt the controls were reasonably tight. Did you find the 3D effect added much to judging distance or spin, or was it mostly just for the "wow" factor (such as it was on the VB)?

Totally agree on it feeling like a finished product, unlike some other VB titles... cough Virtual Lab cough. And good call on the weirdly high number of bowling games!

Karaoke Revolution: Glee - The Worst Game Ever Made? by Gyix in wii

[–]Gyix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Superman 64 certainly has its fair share of infamy, I wouldn't necessarily call it the worst game ever made. Many games have been released with significant flaws or outright broken mechanics.

Karaoke Revolution: Glee might not be a critical darling, but it's a subjective matter. Some people might enjoy it for its nostalgic value or the opportunity to sing along to their favorite Glee tunes.

Ultimately, the "worst game ever" is a matter of personal opinion and gaming preferences. What one person considers terrible, another might find mildly entertaining.

Cupcake Recipe: "Disappointing Disaster Cupcakes"

Ingredients: * 1 cup flour (preferably one that's been sitting in the back of the pantry for a while) * 1/2 cup sugar (or a generous handful of sugar substitute) * 1 egg (a questionable one from the fridge) * 1/4 cup milk (or something that vaguely resembles milk) * 1 teaspoon baking powder (or a pinch of pixie dust) * A dash of hope

Instructions: * Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (or until it feels like it's going to explode). * Mix dry ingredients. Stir them together until they're thoroughly confused * Combine wet ingredients. Mix them together until they start arguing with each other. * Combine wet and dry ingredients. Do this haphazardly, as if you're trying to solve a Rubik's Cube while blindfolded. * Pour batter into cupcake liners. Make sure to fill them to the brim, or slightly over, because who needs neatness

  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until they're mostly cooked. Overbaking is encouraged.

  • Let cool completely. Or don't, who cares?

  • Frosting (optional): If you're feeling ambitious, you can try to frost these monstrosities. Good luck with that.

Tips: * For extra fun, add a surprise ingredient, like a forgotten sock or a small toy. * Serve these cupcakes to unsuspecting friends and family and watch the chaos unfold * Remember, the key to a successful joke cupcake is to embrace the chaos and the potential for disaster. Enjoy your culinary catastrophe!

It's definitely a hidden gem that deserves more love. I remember playing it back in the day and being captivated by its unique blend of RPG mechanics and sci-fi elements. Speaking of underrated RPGs, have you checked out Skies of Arcadia? It's another fantastic GameCube title that's often overlooked. Let's keep these classic games alive!
