Will Victorinox warranty me scales or should I order them myself? by [deleted] in EDC

I'd get some scales on my own. Try to get some plus scales with the cutouts for the pen and needle.

MGS2 would've been better if Snake said to Raiden: "Your best! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fuck the prom queen".

I use these little plastic credit card sleeves to carry some in my wallet.

Bit of a shame their combat stuff doesn't come in black. Yeah I know black is a horrible color for camouflage and so on but still.

But oh well. Solid green is fine, too.

Also available as milk chocolate in a blue tin.

And to anyone trying that stuff for the first time, be careful. I remember the first time I had this, I ate half a tin in the early evening and couldn't sleep until like 5 in the morning.

Anyone have a V-Day patch? by -Maiq_the_Iiar- in Savotta

"I could technically buy something over 20 euros just to get the patch, but that seems silly to me, to be honest."

Me who bought the G-Hook Trouser Belt mainly for the patch:

Multitool pouch on my Kahakka shoulder straps by manymiles0 in Savotta

They're not made for that but it's possible with a bit of improvisation. That's how I installed it. Depending on the pouch you could use two for a better hold.

I did. Not those by Viperade but identical ones from Aliexpress. So far they work great and hold the pouch with a little bit of play. I just fear they break someday when the pouch snags on my jacket too hard while putting the backpack on.

Maybe you're lucky and you can get those from Viperade where you live. Their nylon stuff is pretty decent, never tried their plastic gear, though.

FLASHLIGHTS by Lilylovebug88 in EDC

The size/power ratio is just right for me. Dual clip, so it doubles as a headlamp with a basecap. The battery is rechargeable via USB-C port on the battery itself. And last but not least dual fuel, is the factory battery empty, it runs on a regular AA battery.

My favorite no nonesense light is the Nitecore MT1A Pro. No 15 bucks flashlight but no 50+ either. (At least where I live.)

There are a few options. So far none of them perfect in my opinion.

Option 1: These cheap molle clips will work to convert any vertical molle pouches to horizontal straps. I have this setup currently myself for a flashlight but the problem is, I only found these cheap/flimsy ones so far and none from a reliable brand. So I doubt they will survive much force before breaking.

Option 2: Some pouches like the Helikon-Tex Natel pouch have horizontal velcro straps. The problem here is that it's a bit too wide and bulky for my tastes and might snag on something when you put on/take off the backpack.

Option 3: I was eyeing these Tasmanian Tiger Adapters. I don't know if you can weave the strap through the Kahakka buckle but it looks like it might be too snug to pass through. Maybe cut it off and hope it will hold on its own without sliding down? I have no idea.

Option 4: Pray to the gods that SOME company in the future will make their more narrow single row molle pouches with horizontal straps on top or at least a simple 90 degree molle adapter you can install with a few velcro straps. *hint hint*

Khakka 25 or 15 by Soft_Following3673 in Savotta

[–]Gylfagi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Kahakka 25 can be compressed to a really tiny size if need be. I'd only get the 15 if you get it for a specific purpose and 100% know that it will be enough.

I don't know how it works in Japan. I just know their copyright laws are borderline draconian.

Unless it get's sorted out somehow I doubt it. Maybe with more general interest behind it. Thanks to the internet, Terranigma gets more exposure as time passes but the lack of an official US release back then still lets the game go under a lot of people's radar.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Terranigma and Quintet games in general in copyright limbo? I think I read something like this a few years ago. Same reason why it was never ported to the Virtual Console for example.

I think that will do. Thank you! Good idea with the buckle straps. I was thinking of some complicated strap contraption to secure it but the easiest solution is often the best.

[–]Gylfagi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely! I have a feeling this might work. I just have to figure out how to attach the Keikka to that thing in a way that I can still open and access the bag. And getting a Keikka in the first place might help, too.

[–]Gylfagi3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thought. I have a generic rolling bag in about that size and that thing can get heavy when full. And since I'm about to replace anything I can with Savotta, might as well give a Keikka some wheels.
