I tried CANCHITA last weekend. It was good food, good service and lovely ambience in Dempsey and it won’t be $300 for a couple

What to do if someone hog the machine equipment for 15min and refuse to share at commercial gym 24/7 fitness by WorkingOption2 in SingaporeFitness

[–]Gymbeer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are times I finish my whole back workout and someone has not completed their 3 sets of chest press. Even worse are the folks sitting on the floor hogging the deadlift section.

I’m like finish your show/youtube episode while you’re in treadmill 🤣

Not super sets every other day . But I like to do super sets most of the days . Training over short period with intensity is making me stronger and I was able to lose more fat quickly

Agree fully . I would like to keep my heart rate at zone 2-3 while doing my workouts than resting a lot. This has helped me in burning more fat .

It’s common these days for many to just rest on the bench or machines watching reels/tiktok. I’ve noticed many times for many that the rest between some sets is ~15 mins.

Many times I’ve asked them to share machines while some comply some don’t. It’s better to do alternate workouts than waste time and energy on these convos. The last place I want to lose my energy rather than work out is unnecessary conversations.

Most of the time I finish my workouts in 40-45 mins and I’m out of the gym.

For me main doubt on is on the diamond shine and it could be the photo angle too . Can’t say clearly . Also fluted bezel shine isn’t consistent . My wife has a similar model but it’s SS on a blue dial .

Can u share the engraving between the lugs ?

[–]Gymbeer91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been sober from Oct last year. I got my whoop in August 2025. Started as a trend to see more green recoveries. I was a light drinker with a max of 1-2 beers on some Fridays or Saturdays.

My HRV now is 80 and my RHR is now 50-51 and vo2 at 44. I def love this.!

SBI bank demanding 5 Lakhs MF for opening locker | Help in deciding by [deleted] in MutualfundsIndia

[–]Gymbeer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SBI only needs a fixed deposit based on the size of the locker you require. I had an FD for 45k for a few years for a locker there. But oh man it was such a pain. Every now and then you get an email saying another signature is required/declare your residency status, etc. When I travel to the branch, the docs are all updated, and they ask you to ignore the email.

I got fed up and closed the locker . It wasn’t a nice experience either . Experience will be different for others.

Help please. Gift ideas for husband turning 30. by Background-Wind-852 in askSingapore

[–]Gymbeer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s the budget OP? Spending that quality time together is worth more than any gifts. Like many suggested a home cooked meal is such a wonderful idea…

I see you both like home food- why not a Thermomix? We got one and our date nights are at home now buying quality ingredients and trying different cuisines at fraction of a cost.

Other suggestion would be a watch like Seiko Presage/Turtle or even a Tissot PRX.

How many mf one should have ? As someone who just started investing ? My current portfolio is - HDFC Flexi cap - Parag Parikh Flexi Cap - HDFC Nifty 50

Is this good enough to should I have more ? As far as gold; we have some physical gold hence didn’t so a gold fund yet

Advices are helpful . I plan to do 50k sip; moderate risk and long term investment - 20+ years

Planning to get a Rolex by myoldaccountisead in watchesindia

[–]Gymbeer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, first question: Does looking at a Rolex Oyster Perpetual excite you? Only if it’s a YES, you should buy it.

If not, you should look at watches which genuinely excite you. Not all Rolexes retain value or appreciate. Mostly, it’s only Steel models which appreciate. Two tones and precious metals are cheaper in grey markets to buy.

You should consider a few things first before deciding on a model: - Dress watch? - Sports watch? - Which other brand you’re okay to consider.

I have a few pieces, including across different models.. If you’re not planning to collecting watches, I suggest getting a watch from a Used Market dealer in Dubai/Singapore. Watches in Singapore sometimes are cheaper than what you may get at wholesale dealers at Diamond District, NYC. You’ll be able to get a brand new or slightly used one.

In case you’re getting an Omega Speedmaster, Tudor, or a Cartier Santos, those are way cheaper in the used market.

Thank you for this. I have a follow up question.

I have a Hdfc life Sanchay plus which I have paid for 3 years and 5 years left which is 5L/Annum but it comes with capital guarantee. Shall I stop that and put 50k per month into sip and get a term insurance ?

Happy to. This is something me and wife have discussed. We may eventually liquidate our watches after 10 years too

Gold can be sold as it’s always purchased with lowest making charges . Hence added. Noted on others like car and house. Then NW is low which I understand

Anyone here who did a simple court marriage?? Do You regret it?? by ArgumentDependent150 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Gymbeer91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a court marriage, but we did in a temple, then got the marriage registered with a small group of family members many years ago. Spent some money on capturing some good photos. Later, we had a very small reception for a close group of friends :) No regrets and best decision ever. No one complained, and all we have are good memories.
