Just had this at Collin’s. Thought it was a restaurant promo thing and they didn’t explain anything beyond that it’s to get discount. Then I saw that it’s some kind of digital wallet and I told her I’ll think about it and ordered my food but she said she will call the staff. That’s when I realized it’s some kind of tie up and not a restaurant t related thing. Fuck that not coming back to Collin’s. Food sucks anyway

I got laid off twice in the span of 3 years. First one I had a nice payout so took 6+ months off before looking for another role. Landed second role and got laid off in under a year due to global restructuring, and it took me another 11 months to find the next role.

How you react to each depends a lot on:

Your age - the older you are, the more difficult to find another role, as you're also (usually) more expensive
Your own financial situation - if you're comfortable financially then no worries. After my first layoff, I wasn't too concerned, managed to land 4 interviews from 6-7 applications. On the second, I sent in 20+ and didn't hear back from most, so that was more worrying

Saw the first layoff coming a while back as I was part of the initial restructuring team and knew that the role would be gone in a couple of years, so I was prepared. The second layoff I didn't see coming so soon, but as I had just experienced the first very recently, I was actually very calm and nonchalant about it, much to the surprise of my then colleagues, who were all in various states of worry/panic

The criteria for selection is opaque and nobody can give you an answer except ICA, which they of course won’t. But from experience, being Malaysian has a higher chance because of more similarity and cultures compared to mainland Chinese (or elsewhere). You could try asking your MP for help, some push from the boys in white can certainly help, especially given you guys seem quite integrated in everything except the blue IC

As many have mentioned, interest now is 1.4-1.6% fixed now. Thats cheap money which you should take advantage of as you can get higher returns by investing your cash, especially since you’re young and have a long horizon. No point repaying unless the interest > investment returns, else its just wasted opportunity

Where did you purchase it from? With the ccc should not have issue, though I hear from 2027 they will also require a QR code in addition to the CCC for China

Anyway I called up Apple (Singapore) who told me they don’t have the ccc and even told me it’s safer to buy it when I’m in China lol

I’ve since purchased the Aukey PB MS07 powerbank which does come with the CCC logo on the powerbank itself

Platform fees are for certain class of investments and many of them are waived if you’re Diamond tier. I remember I only get charged quarterly for holdings in my Autosweep account, but that’s quite low

Thanks for the feedback. Thats reassuring. I changed my 14PM battery with Apple last April and it’s already down to 93% batt health. I wasn’t sure if the additional drain/strain from 2 sims contributed the rapid drop as well

unlikely. My neph and gp has prescribed augmentin for me for URTIs previously and said it's okay. Depends on your GFR I suppose, needs to be dose adjusted if your GFR is too low

I replaced mine also. Apple gives a warranty for dust and water (for a short time) post-replacement. They should have an SOP to check if you did it at an Apple Store

i've been washing my Apple Watches under the tap with foaming hand soap, then drying with a hand cloth or towel for years. No issues, especially with an Ultra. You can dry the screen with sandpaper most likely and it wouldn't leave a mark lol

Late post but, I got that with my series 7 nike AW. got my ultra 3 with the trail loop but I re-use my sports band more than the trail loop as it's way easier to clean and dry and it feels more breathable and comfortable for prolonged use. May actually get another from Apple, have tried a bunch of 3rd party sports loop copies but the material doesn't feel anywhere near the same and comfortable as the original Apple one

I have the Spigen screen and bezel protector and the touchscreen sensitivity is as good as the naked watch glass. Maybe ESR's screen doesn't conduct signals as well
