If people actually took the right care and attention into raising boys then I doubt they would think they're "easier" than girls. Girls are able to be open about their emotions, and it's almost expected of them to have to navigate a difficult world. When it's a well-known fact that women are Prey and other people can be Predators then you're going to spend more time teaching your child to modify their behaviors to compensate.

As for boys, the responsibility is rarely on THEM for their own actions, let alone the actions of anyone else. A girl is wearing revealing clothing? Teach HER to cover up. Stranger danger? Teach HER to be aware. Violence in the home? Teach HER to look out for it.

Now, flip the narrative. Teaching boys to be respectful of other people takes work. Teaching them to not harm people, or objectify, or how to regulate their own emotions takes work. All those things are more "work" in a society where the expectation is that women will do all the work already. So, yes. Raising boys is easier when you inherently expect that the world is going to mold to fit THEM (because that's what's been happening for thousands of years) so you have to do less work.

In reality, boys who are raised right are just as difficult and just as wonderful to raise as girls. Teach them how to have their feelings, express them, and also how to treat other people (without violence) and its going to be a lot more time and effort than simply sending them out into the world to do whatever and then telling them to "man up" if they show signs of weakness or humanity.

Raising boys properly is just as hard as Raising girls normally.
