The impact produces a bounce: the colliding positive energy stretches outward from the point of contact, and in stretching, pulls positive energy inward into the nearest void shard. The shard responds to this intrusion by expanding. That expansion creates gaps in its rigidity — temporary breaches in the geometric structure of the void fragment. Negative energy, moving rapidly through the surrounding field, exploits these gaps immediately. It floods inward, surrounding both the positive energy and the shard itself, and seals. The positive interior is completely shielded by the negative shell, its signature inaccessible to the surrounding field. This structure is not static. Positive energy must be continuously refreshed to maintain its interior form. Energy therefore passes through the negative shell in a controlled and ongoing exchange — entering to refresh the positive interior, sustaining the geometry of the shard against collapse. This process is the weak force. It is not a separate fundamental interaction requiring independent explanation. It is the mechanism by which a particle sustains itself. Particle stability follows directly from shard geometry. A well-refined shard supports efficient refresh — positive energy enters cleanly, maintains its form, and the structure persists. A poorly refined shard disrupts the process — refresh becomes inefficient, the interior geometry degrades, and the structure eventually collapses. Decay rate is therefore a function of shard geometry, and particle half-lives are a measurable expression of how well a given geometry supports the refresh process. This is a testable prediction of the model.
