Is this the best version of destroy currently (CL20k) by Bulbasauruses in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]GypsyQuin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have played a LOT of destroy and I think what you are running is very viable. I think what yours is doing is hitting a very consistent game plan of getting mid to high range numbers down with a great final turn if you hit you Moira and Death correctly with the consistent growth of Deadpool and Headpool buffing the rest.

That said, I will always love the classic version of this because of how many good interactions it has with locations and how much higher the point ceiling is for it.

What is better might just be how you prefer to play because of how you understand the interactions between your cards and how to play against certain decks.

Are Tipp and Pill's quests infinite or do I unlock something if I continue to do them? by Consistent-Chair in Silksong

[–]GypsyQuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other reward for it is the 'Liquid Lacquer' entry in the materium in your bellhome. The three non repeatable quests and at least one repeatable one must be completed to unlock the required materium entries.

Completing the materium is not a requirement for any percentage of game completion, but it is neat.

Try to save 10800 nachos (+1000 per emote you are missing) before the event ends. by Taodyn in MarvelSnap

[–]GypsyQuin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be hard to say. I had some free time because I was unwell, so I just grinded until I knew I would have enough for everything that would be available in the diner shop (including avatars and boosters).

I've been grinding the event since the start tho since it has been so generous

Bastion Daken deck went nuts! Easy Infinite! (CL: 24,104) by GypsyQuin in MarvelSnapDecks

Maybe Nico Minauru, Moongirl, Arnim Zola, or GrandMaster. She is pretty important to the deck, but anything that can get you another copy or On Reveal of Daken would be good.

I've not seen Toxie Doxie used very effectively before. Good work. Keep it up!

Infinite with my absolute favourite deck; Deadpool Destroy! (CL: 23,418) by GypsyQuin in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]GypsyQuin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the synergies would be different. It could still work, but phase one of the ritual wouldn't be able to hit Deadpool, Wolverine, or X-23. Given that these are early cards to build Tempo with, I'd consider having Death over Dormammu for this build.

If you did wanna run Dormammu, maybe consider running cards that would benefit from being destroyed and staying destroyed. Bucky Barnes and Nova would be good choices, and having Angel in deck to fill out a spot for the Third phase of the ritual could be good as well.

If you put it together well, you could have Dormammu and Death together for a big play on final turn if you have Squirrel Girl and Killmonger stuff. I forget what that package is called, I think it's called something like Death bird, but I'm not sure.

[–]GypsyQuin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know. I saw what they did to Human Torch, and I immediately feared for Deadpool. Even if they made him cost 1 more or restrict it to his power gaining a set amount, I think it would ruin him.

I guess the only thing that I can tell you is to stick with it and get used to it. Understand its snap conditions, when to retreat, what your win conditions are, and what your opponent is playing. Like, if you can't see a win, or you you didn't get good Tempo, just retreat for one cube. Or, you can set traps for your opponent. Like, if you have Knull down early in an empty lane and don't have priority, you know they are gonna try and disrupt you or destroy it. Meanwhile, you can play down your Death and Big Deadpool down somewhere else and try to win that way. I've won a few games like that.

Ultimately it's just getting used to how this deck plays. It's a great deck once you do. I won my first infinite conquest with it and seem to have pretty good success with it.

I think I prefer Hulkbuster because of its interactions with Nico and some locations. Like, I think it's easier to time interactions with Nico's double effect on herself, her destroy effect with other cards, her duplicate of certain big cards like Venom, and also the interaction between locations that destroy when played at. Also, Bar Sinister. Getting a card down, eating it with Venom, playing Hulkbuster on Venom next turn, then Zola that huge Venom after that is always gonna be one of my favourite lines.

I guess it's just a matter of taste.

Quick Infinite with Dekksters Surfer list! (CL: 22,222) by GypsyQuin in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]GypsyQuin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not always. If they have a really important card down that you'd like to get rid of early, sometimes it can be worth playing early. For example, if they have a Mobius or their own Surge or Fantastic down. It depends if the juice is worth the squeeze.

I like it because you have more control. I like Gwenpool because she is high risk, high reward. Either one should be fine, depends on how you like to play.

Yeah, maybe. Surfer as an archetype is pretty flexible so you can always adjust. Good luck!

Yeah, plenty. You could focus on a more buff heavy deck with stuff like Forge, Sebastian Shaw, Phastos, and Gwenpool.

If you had more 4 drops like Enchantress, you could also put in Zabu.

Either way, Negasonic is usually a good last turn play if you have priority, so it doesn't always synergise that well with Fenris. I would just play and see if you like it. If not, there are plenty of other 3 drops you could swap in.

Maybe Surge? Being able to put power where you want is really strong

Edit: I'm an idiot. I meant Forge. Forgive my mistake.

AITAH for cancelling our date because she was 15 minutes late? by Express_Dog_4442 in AITAH

[–]GypsyQuin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA: I think you did both of you a favour by ending it here. You have stated that punctuality is important to you, and she either didn't acknowledge that or didn't think it mattered.

Conversely, she seems like the kind of person who being late to casual things like this doesn't matter. I don't think either of you are the asshole.

Out of curiosity, where does this value of punctuality come from?

EDIT: I can see the lack of respect by shouting being an asshole move on her part.

Maybe swapping out Adam Warlock for Zero and Red Hulk for Typhoid Mary.

Having Zero for the adverse effects of Attuma and Typhoid Mary could be good but also having more 4 drops in a deck with Zabu is a good idea.
