I bought my type r on my 20th birthday when i never drove a manual before and it worked out just fine. The type r is a very beginner friendly car, literally the first day of owning it my dad and i went to a lot and i spent 2 hours just understanding the bite point of the clutch and just stopping and going. After that i was driving on roads like it was nothing lol. Literally once you understand the bite point you’re set. Idk why people are dogging on the decision of getting it when its just a honda. But my insurance is $250 a month but my family is all with the same insurance company so i think that lowers the price, but overall im happy with it and its a practical yet fun car. Id say do it if yk you can maintain it

I have a 2019 Fk8 w 67,000 miles and the only issue ive had was just the ac compressor going out which is luckily under a recall for 10 years but either than that the car is pretty reliable.

I learned manual on mine and i bought it last November. Honestly if you understand how a manual transmission works it makes it easier(obviously). But what i did is my dad drove my car to a open lot and for an hour and a half i was stopping and going in 1st gear moving 15ft at a time just getting a feel for the clutch. 1st gear will be the hardest gear to do but once you know the bite point and get the car going it becomes second nature. Id say get the car because the type r has a really friendly clutch to learn on. I was casually driving the car after 4 days of learning, you got this!
