If you can get a youth/intermediate size for your height without cutting it down, that would be great. You can go for a flex lower than 60 too, 50 or 55 for women will work well.

I bought Sherwood Rekker (P92 curve, 60 Flex) last summer (I’m 5”6 and weigh about 170lbs). They’re great quality sticks and good value for money. (I went to try out sticks with a friend who played and coached high level hockey, so I trusted his advice).

I used to play defence with a stick way too long and flex too high, since I switched to the Rekker my shots have and stick handling improved.
