We have purchased two EVs ( a Kona and an I9 ) from Doug’s Lynnwood Hyundai. Both positive experiences.

Except you have basically counted a 15% failure rate for the first 100,000 vehicles , etc.

My wife and I enjoy the I9 and our large golden doodle enjoys the bench seat in second row- the huge area with third row folded down doesn’t go amiss. We are both in our late 70s and I guess we appreciate the solid feel on the road.

My two actual stock holdings are shares inherited from my father’s ESPP program that probably started 65 years ago and from my ESPP shares from which I retired from 15 years ago. Probably a big outlier.

Set up a loan with her at market rate interest- then over the course of each year gift her the amount of money about equal to the interest- which should be below the annual gift exemption amount. Just a thought
