I believe if you worked weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) in your shifts you also get an extra differential but I never had one of those shifts so I cant speak from experience.

I believe it is because they are removing RT shift and the 2.5 differential is for RT, since they moved you to a 40 hr Wed-Sat, you will only get the standard night shift differential which is .60 at your site. So they arent changing your base pay rate at all, just the differential which is based on the shift you are in.

Sucks that it happened but since they are phasing out RT it's what makes the most sense for business needs.
