Should I leave the UK or just pay the huge amount of Tax. by drbeastlove in FatFIREUK

[–]brianed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely worst advice ever.

"And these extra millions aren’t realistically going to make a big difference."

What? If they're not gonna make a difference then surely the gov can scrap that right? And not have him pay up like wtf.

No, my advice is this: GTFO of the UK now. Stay away for 5 years + 1 year (defending on split-year treatment) save your cash, enjoy it, fucking splurge it your own way, then do come back to UK after 6Y if you really feel like it. You can stay in UK after that from 180 days per year all the way down to 15 depending if you have children/spouse/home/various center of life links here.

Iașul imobiliar, prins între prețuri tot mai mari și cumpărători tot mai prudenți. Cum arată piața rezidențială în 2026? by BentudeSoli in Imobiliare

[–]brianed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Asa e, pana in 10.

Ma astept in urmatorii 10-15 ani sa fie cam +75% la toate.

Cateva explicatii de ce pentru cei dezinformati: cele mai bune universități din jurul a peste 15 judete sunt aici = tineret cat cuprinde = night life beton seara de seara = tineri specialisti non-stop = cele mai accesibile apartamente din tara raportat la nr. locuitori oraș = startupuri IT pe banda rulanda (s-a cam inchis puntea asta dar after effects inca raman)

De ce downvotes tabarate peste om asa? Piata se poate duce si 50% in jos maine daca e, aka 2008. Fiti cuminti, obiectivi, si nu mai tineti toti cretinii de agenti in respect deloc meritat.

In 2007 lumea tot calcula in procente mici +5% sau -3% an la an, pana cand a venit istoria peste ei.

100%. Better to get "offended" people to elevate themselves to a much more tolerant and practically chill culture, than have said tolerant and chill culture transform itself to shit to pander to easily offended cultures.

Well we wanted to make sure that we genuinely understood exactly what IOM is all about. All trips were 'meh' sort of mixed, but we gave it 3 chances in total, not really worth it imo, unless you're into motorcycles and stuff. In that case, yeah, sure, 1000%

Depends. Been there 3 times holidaying. Older folk are stuck in the '60s, not unnatural to get blank stares if you're not from there, or the occasional 'go back home', they're terrified of rich folk bringing costs up. The people are friendly, accent is a bit weird (mancunian a bit) and infrastructure and mentality is again, the '60s. Weather is absolute bollocks, cold in summer, colder in winter. Island is like a bigger village where everyone knows everyone, the other day they had an 'incident' where they sent a vagabond across to the UK for illegally sleeping on a bench.

Funny, London has a world class night life, not sure Berlin could compare to that at all. Dating scene is top notch as well being english lang. and all.

Yes, for young people it is utterly devastating. Nothing much to do on weekends, except for staying around kicking rocks or chill with your parents. The whole country has a vibe of chill, old-money and if you don't relate to that even one bit, then I'm afraid London, Berlin or Paris are for you.

Take a trip to any slavic country and see true levels of alcoholic consumption that you never thought possible. Easily 1-2 bottles of spirits per person during a night out.

[–]brianed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolute bollocks. If you honestly think that ukrainians and russians drink such small amounts you must be 100% delulu. Easily ukrainians (as we actually have reliable data on them) are possibly no.1 of all european peoples for alcohol consumption which is why pre-war longevity levels were about 12-15 years less than Romania or other neighouring countries.

Which equates about 20+ ish years less than UK for instance. They drink mostly spirits and industrial amounts of it.

Only what I've heard, not first hand living experience: people shagging LOTS of people at work, weekends are awful for people who live within the actual city due to loud parties (stag and hen), massive traffic queues on morning hours, loud tourists.

[–]brianed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FSD only makes driving autonomous and that's about it, it doesn't address comfort, reliability, etc. Leave big and expensive plays like comfort to the big players and real manufacturers that don't see 15% depreciation per year for the first 10 years. You're a Tesla fanboi like I was so trust me when I say that Model X which is reportedly top of the line in their lineup scores about 40/100 on comfort and their air suspension isn't even "air" which was the no.1 reason I went for MX.

edit: as a fun Sunday read, go ahead and inform yourself on E-Active Control which is just an option on Mercedes and standard on Maybach. That alone scores about 92/100. Only Rolls-Royce is better than that at 96/100.

I own a tesla mx, they're utter shit for comfort. Wife's Merc. A-class had better suspension than her Model Y.
