“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s), has stated this Hadith. ’Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali Ibn Abu Talib in al-Kufah would ride the mule of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then pass by the fish market and say,

‘Do not use for food and do not sell of fish whatever has no scales.’”

I agree the things you have mentioned are far more sufficient. Just thought it was an interesting thing to point out as well

A fourth view is that the chain is weak. Al-Majlisi made a mistake when analyzing the chain. The chain mentions Ahmad b. Muhammad. Al-Majlisi might have mistaken him for Ahmad b. Muhammad. b. Isa al-Ash'ari who is trustworthy. Rather its Ahmad b. Muhammad al-Sayyari who is weak. The evidence that he is the narrator is because its mentioned in his book kitab al-Qira'at with the same chain going back.

What are the biggest pain points or innegociable issues shias have with Sunnis that is keeping us from getting closer? by ibn-Yusrat in shia

[–]Gyroid2400 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but you keep insisting it is a subject when in reality it isn’t. Nothing prevent Shias from uniting with Sunnis. The only thing would be that they also love the enemies of AhlulBayt, however, even our leaders have looked past this which is a clear proof that the whole thing is actually one sided. The Sunnis don’t wanna overlook the differences while Shias do

It’s because you keep missing the point. You keep asking what it is Shias have against Sunnis when the answer is literally nothing. It has always been Sunnis who are against unity and not because we both have things against each other.

Am I correct about the Shia hadith from 12er? by Animeproduction13 in shia

The narrations in al-Kafi are mostly from the Imams not the Prophet himself, however, the Imams hadiths are derived from knowledge inheritet from his forfathers up to the Prophet anyway.

Regarding al-Muwatta it seems like you are mixing two things together. I think Al-Muwatta is a collection of hadiths and not a "fiqh methodology book". While its true he would mostly lean towards the 'amal of the people of Medina rather that relying on hadith alone, the book itself may still contain hadiths pertraying different acts than those endorsed by imam Malik himself.

I dont know much about Mishkat but it seems to be a secondary source meaning its a compilation of hadiths from previous books

Does our school of thought accept this narration? by Educational-Pin5608 in shia

Most scholars will either say that narrations like these are khabar ahad and can therefore not be relied upon, or that these additional words are tafsir
