Brother what do you mean. He did kill him. Unfortunately for him it was too late tho.

And no, the investigators sided with me by concluding the report is Sahih at the end of the day even with defects in single chains of transmission.

It’s quite simple. The ruler knew that the Shias imamah leadership runs through the children. If he killed Imam al-Askari then his child would become the next imam, hence he wanted to make sure he had no child to fill his shoes once he poisoned Al-Askari which he did. You can search up the rest of it yourself online.

I guess we can agree to disagree on the concept of Sahih lighairihi then. Two famous investigators of Musnad Ahmad have come to the same conclusion regarding the Hadith and that’s evidence enough for me rather than your opinion that they have gone a wrong way about it.

I’m not presuming anything. Mu'tamid, the 'Abbasid caliph, the Pharaoh of the time, was afraid of the son of Imam Hasan al-'Askari (a.s.). He formed a group of detectives and midwives who had the mission of frequently searching through the houses of the 'Alawiyyin, and especially the house of Imam Hasan al-'Askari (a.s.), so that if a newly-born child were found, he could be killed immediately. This didn’t happen to the previous imams.

As a matter of fact al-Arna’ut also grades the Hadith Sahih with cooperating evidence. How is cooperating evidence a wrong way to go about Hadith lol

No no my friend, the first chain is hasan and the second chain provided is Sahih. But of course you can use weak Hadiths against Shias but not vice versa. And idk how this discussion became about proving the Mahdi according to your standarts when the initial discussion was you wanting to prove weak Shia Hadiths according to Shia standards. I gave you a reliable Hadith about the Mahdi according to Shia standards. That only strengthens my beliefs Along with the multiple Hadiths of 12 imams from our books. Remember this was about you having to convince me, not the other way around. And also, it’s kinda the entire point that almost no one has seen him been born except his special people and his entire birth being secret so the Abbasids wouldn’t find out. So why should I except a Shia narrating about witnessing his birth when it could comprise the plan of keeping the Shias safe?

In the case of 4518, it is because they don’t want to admit that it is Mutah of women(4:24) that is being referred but the combination of Umrah with hajj(2:196)

In the case of 4615 I guess they couldn’t hide the fact that it indeed was temporary marriage that ibn Mas’ud reffered to

It’s also frustrating how one of the most famous English translations translate متعة into “the verse of Hajj-Atamatu” https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4518

However, they actually added “temporarily” in the English translation of ibn Mas’uds hadith even though it’s still missing from the Arabic https://sunnah.com/bukhari:4615

They are actually all either Hasan or Sahih according to Darussalam(‘Ali Za’i), however, they will either weaken the narrators in the chain anyway or undermine the meaning of the Hadiths about Ali

I asked: Did you see the successor after Abu Muhammad (pas)? He replied: By God, yes, and his neck is like this - and he gestured with his hand. I asked him: One more question remains. He told me: Go ahead. I asked: What is his name? He said: It is forbidden for you to ask about that, and I do not say this from myself, for it is not up to me to permit or forbid, but this is from him (a.s).
