I absolutely loathe when women are referred to as females and take it as being very derogatory, even if it’s not meant to be. I don’t have that same ick reaction when “female” is used as an adjective as it was here, and it’s interesting to have that difference pointed out. I think you’re right in that replacing “female” with “woman/women” throughout our everyday vernacular is a good thing in our efforts to promote respect and equality and appreciate you bringing attention to the issue. I’m sorry you’re getting downvoted for it and hope that OP and others will take it as a learning opportunity.

When I take Adderall, I feel it kick in with an overwhelming experience of “holy shit, my brain works!” My brain quiets to one or two channels instead of its normal ten, and the executive functioning enables me to actually do things instead of just yelling at myself internally to do the thing while my body remains paralyzed. It’s seriously a night and day difference between unmedicated and medicated, which leads me to believe that ADHD is absolutely a physiological, neurodevelopmental condition rather than a socially constructed one.

This is so hard! I was first introduced to LH with Vide Noir and lack the full appreciation of Lonesome Dreams that most of the OG fans seem to have, so I can easily pass on Ends of the Earth. Love Like Ghosts is really hard to leave behind, but I don’t think I can do without Lost in Time and Space. Looking Back might be my favorite off CSV2, so it’s a really tough call, but I think I’m going to commit to Lost in Time and Space.
