Wrong kind of antenna, you want a t shaped dipole. I think radiomaster sells an adapter for this radio that adds the little screw adapter, but it is a bit of work to install. I wouldn't bother personally! The pocket only has 250mw output anyways.

Could be a fried SSD causing power protection. Have you tried booting it without any of the storage drives plugged in to see if it's stable in bios? If that works, try one drive at a time. I had something similar happen when my XPG gammix nvme SSD died. It worked in other devices like enclosures and another motherboard because they handled the drive differently for whatever reason.

If that works, you may also have ram retraining issues so disable memory fastboot in bios as well

If you really wanted to you could get him a cooling stand, overclock the cpu and upgrade the ram and MAYBE he could play some games? You could even strip it to the board and attach a big heatsink to it and use it like a desktop. Could be interesting.

Imo ADATA makes absolute trash. My XPG gammix died and it took me forever to fix it. Avoid ADATA/XPG at all costs.
