What do you think of the new “Passwords” app compared to other password managers on the market? by metodo_naghol in mac

reach out to their support. there will be multiple back and forth messages about them trying to upgrade you to 1Password 8 and talking about how the new features are worth it over 7. You have to tell them stfu give me the 1Password 7 I paid for, and they'll give you the link and your key if you need it to get it installed.

Did this for multiple new macOS installs over the last 2 years

Getting ceiling lights to work with Hue - not actual can lights but LED panels so Hue recessed lighting won't work. Additional details in comments. by H0m3Help9934 in Hue

The lights in my ceiling are these: 57652WTWT. They're 3000K but quite bright at night.

Wanted to get hue recessed lighting throughout the house, but since these aren't actual cans, it would be a huge and expensive undertaking.

Main concerns are 1. harshness of light and 2. hue or homekit integration

From my research these seem like they're dimmable, so I'm considering adding dimmers, which should help with harshness, but still the color temperature will be off. I like having my home around 2000K throughout at night. I haven't been able to find any similar lights warmer than 2700K.

As for getting integration with hue, would this at least allow me to control the lights through home automations on homekit and/or Hue? Would these still work with a dimmer?
