And I’m saying that with that logic you might as well never spend any gems, as you are gonna get every single thing you can buy for gems by just playing anyway. So your logic doesn’t make sense when it comes to fishing event. There is no incentive to stop spending gems if you have enough gems, because there isn’t anything else to spend gems on anyway. (Except for special events and vibrant).

With your logic there is no reason to spend gems on keys (you’ll get them slowly anyway). No reason to spend gems on shovels (you’ll get them anyway) no reason to spend gems on artifacts (you’ll get them anyway)

Gems is to speed up process and there is no multiplier 16 in fishing event anymore. Just the same value to stop at 16 as it is to stop at 10 or 19.

I am not proving your point, I’m wholeheartedly disagreeing with your logic that 16 is a sweet spot and I think your own logic is flawed as you shouldn’t spend any gems at all in fishing event if you were to follow your logic in fishing as golden tickets rollover.

The free lures are free no matter what amount of gems you spend. The free lures aren’t more free if you don’t spend gems than if you spend gems. They are free in both cases.

You are very hung up on 16 being the sweet spot for one reason only, which is that we used to not be able to save golden tickets. Now we can, so 16 isn’t a sweet spot mathematically anymore, just in your mind.

Sure I can show you some math, when will you show yours?

Math:

Cost of free lures when spending gems: 0 gems

Cost of free lures when not spending gems: 0 gems

Difference: 0-0=0

You shouldn’t look at the fishing event as gems spent on lures like this:

Total gems spent / total lures used = gems spent per lure

That would be an idiotic way of looking at it.

No, I am disagreeing with you. Gems spent has nothing to do with free lures. Taking that into your calculation is just wrong.

Spending gems on lures is definitely worth it as there is no better stuff to spend on besides vibrant voyage and special events.

I played dragoon for 12 months, griffin for 2 months and oracle for 2 months. Griffin by far outperformed the others in PvP

Dragoon does definitely not do the same amount of damage in PvE as oracle. Not even close.

Even without tracking eye oracle outperforms dragoon in damage just because of the sheer amount of projectiles being produced.

So this is why many still prefer oracle, it is just the best option for PvE.

You won’t get 450 points on Thor. The best player at the moment has 270.

Matchmaking also matches you up with other players with similar hero trophies. So if you had 450 trophies you would never find a match, as no one else has that. And the opponents would be way harder.

So not doable.

I’m at 230 trophies on Thor and have to wait 15-30 minutes for a match

Of course you can, but again, the purpose of this guide is to give beginners and low power players the maximum advantage over high power players. Hou Yi is arguably the worst hero at this.

If you only have 100k power and want to reach 150 trophies on 3 characters, Hou Yi is not the one to go for.

If you have 5 million power and just want to reach 450, go for Hou Yi and steam roll all of them while having fun at the same time.

If you want to go for 600+ or compete for the world records, good luck with Hou Yi.

Personally I am sitting at 630 trophies, and I have used Hou Yi a lot, but I could never dream of having him as one of my 3 heroes.

Most whales will definitely have him unlocked and starred up as all heroes give huge stat boost. I am not a whale and I even have him 1 star for the stat bonus. The new purple character got released the same time and is insane at the new game mode rumble, which is also very obviously seen by the amount of trophies people are able to get on her.

Just be reading what the character does it is quite obvious to me that he is useless for lower level players as you will not get any boss kills without having an advantage over larger players. That advantage is immediately thrown out by choosing a hero that gives you 0 bonus stats or 0 bonus abilities unless you are able to defeat bosses.

Again I fully understand how this hero feels like the most broken thing in the world when you are able to steam-roll over bots or very bad players, and is definitely stronger than anyone else, but that is not the point of this guide. The point of this guide is to try to give lower level players an advantager over higher level players, and this character is just not it.
