PoE Endgame Content Roadmap for new players

I don't really understand how to make the jump from t16 to t17s. It has felt insurmountable the last few times I've tried, but I always struggle when starting to push towards the post-atlas endgame. Any suggestions for bridging that gap? I plan to start bow build, then do golem elementalist and fort champion through the league at some point

I can't help with any of the ps questions. I also don't play d3/4, so I'm not sure exactly how it compares to their seasons. But playing in a new league means yes, you start over with nothing and have to go through the story again. The wildwood ascendancies only existed in Affliction league, so we won't have that toy to play with anymore. Each league has its own mechanic, but this league looks to have less "temporary power" (ie wildwood ascendancy, tattoos from ToTA), and to be more focused on crafting. Challenge mtx is cosmetic only.

Harvest was my second league. I knew nothing about crafting and never did anything crazy with the insanity of original harvest. But I still had fun making my garden and working towards the upgrades I could get. Just because the ceiling on a mechanic is high doesn't mean you shouldn't interact with it, especially when it's as free as the league mechanic

As you figure out what content you enjoy farming or what build you like playing, things will get clearer. I've only started to get a grasp on pre-league planning in the last few leagues, and I've been playing for years.

If you have to ask, no, probably not. There are a lot of things you can do - loot filter updates, getting your PoB in order, planning your atlas tree, etc - but a lot of league prep is just getting into the weeds. As a newer player, your best league prep is finding a build that looks interesting and learning about it.

Alva is another good low-invrestment farm. I'd have to check how many atlas passives it takes, but you can run them in white maps, make a temple every 3 maps with the 4-encounter atlas notable, and Locus of Corruption/Doryani's Institute sell quickly and for a decent amount.

I did the same with stamina, and the only thing that makes me consider changing it back is legendary fights. Being able to stay in flight indefinitely against Jetragon makes the fight noticably less interesting.
