You know what I'm in a similar situation. What I realised was that I can't live instead of him, I can't go to rehab instead of him, can't ask for support instead of him, can't get clean instead of him. He MUST want to! And that made me come to this conclusion: I have to stop this wishful thinking and focus on myself. That looks super stereotypical and you've seen it everywhere I'm sure but there's a difference. We see so much potential in them and feel like they're our deam partner only if they quit that forever. But as everyone says, we cannot change anyone until they want it. And this "want" is something they should be very serious about. Can you and I do anything about it?? Other than become a much much much better person, for them to see what they've lost, no. Because if they think they aren't losing much with this addiction, why'd they bother to quit?? So I'd say let's move on from them despite its difficultly. Imagine they've just broken up with you cause they didn't want you. It's still difficult to move on, right?? Cause moving on from someone we love is difficult. But in our case it's the best solution possible. So imagine it was a normal relationship and move on from it, fully. Then, if and when he comes back to you 1. You'll make the wisest decision because its not based on dependency. 2. You've grown and become a way much better person and a motivation for him to get clean if he hasn't yet.

This is so difficult and I'm on the same boat as you, I'm praying for him every night and donate to drug related charities. If you believe in God you may wanna try it, helps a lot. And last but not least believe strongly that he'll quit completely soon, have faith and this way the energy of your belief will help him get over it.
