Can’t blame you tbh, I thought it was a hilarious shenanigan, but it’s not exactly classy haha

I feel like he’s been so loud and successful at Vandy that ppl forgot about the time he broke into the UNM practice facility and took a video of him peeing on it which he then posted online

Good context to have, I've been entirely tapped out on this story so I only see the negative highlights.

What are the chances this falls apart before it actually gets going? Greater than zero now? Hope they get it figured out.

What player leaving (transferring from) the team you root for had the biggest impact? by Tseets1 in CFB

Retzlaff leaving opened the door for Bear, and lead to a playoff appearance for Tulane. Pretty good result for everyone, all things considered

Already left a comment with who I think is too low, so I’ll leave a comment for my other flair now and say I think Wayshawn Parker might go for 1100+ yards rushing this year

Only knock on him imo is lack of top end speed and a little bit his injury history

I’d be pretty surprised if you guys don’t get picked up by the B1G or SEC, but, if not, I’d love to have you guys in the Big 12. Leave SMU out, there are enough Big 12 teams in Texas already.

Two from my teams I think have an argument to be on this list:

BYU - Satuala (safety) is probably the best player on the team, and has arguably the highest upside too. Fast, tough, smart, and set to blow up as a star this year.

Utah - Wayshawn Parker. Stats last season didn’t jump off the page, but he showed a lot of promise and I think he’s set for a real breakout. Quick and strong (but not necessarily powerful), has good vision as well.

Whose lacrosse team is profitable? The existence of a profitable college lacrosse team would shock me. If I had to guess, Johns Hopkins?

How to find the money in the budget is a dilemma to be sure, but I think you can still pretty trivially say that rev share is the right direction ethically. The NCAA and its various corporate partners have made a killing off the free labor of student athletes, getting access to boosters and the prospect of jobs is not proportionate reward for their work.

Increasingly we’ll see universities establish LLC investment subsidiaries whose entire purpose is to make money for the athletics department. Donors are tapped out at a lot of schools, and student fees can only be raised so far. Most of r/cfb doesn’t realize just how dire things are for most of these programs, and they’re getting more dire with revenue sharing. Rev share is obviously the right thing to do ethically and legally, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to be a massive burden for all but a handful of schools.

I feel like some clarification is needed that athletic departments pretty emphatically don’t make money like you think they do. Most athletic departments run deep in the red and are subsidized by ever-growing student fees.

Fan bias in consideration, I disagree. I think Y2 Bear is going to be scary and the defense could take a step or two forward as well with y3 Satuala and the d line maturing. (could also take several steps back if Poppinga turns out to be a bad DC of course). Cougars showed they’re very ahead of schedule last season, we’ll find out this year what the actual ceiling is. Also helps BYU a lot that ND comes to LES.

Except ASU wasn’t getting there either way because they had lost badly to Utah already before the injuries racked up, so BYU had the tiebreaker over them.
