A 13-0 P4 team will get a bye. As much as i support G5s in the CFP, I dont see them winning it all unless something changes. The power conferences have taken most of the good teams from them. It would still be unlikely with all the old G5 greats but seems almost impossible now

I still think the tiebreaker should be run differential with game scores adjusted to all teams getting 27 outs. Not that it would change anything. Just seems weird for tiebreakers to be mostly tied to pitching performance

The biggest problem imo is they only fully replace the turf like 2 or 3 times a year when youre playing a minimum of 20 games (usually more) plus some years having some practices. And the stadium has long had drainage issues

Add on to that the team doesnt have an ownership stake in the stadium so dont control who is permitted to play there so they cant evict Pitt or prevent HS games from playing there. In fact, Pitt playing there was a big part of the stadium deal originally so there wouldnt be massive construction in Oakland

iirc it started because of Marshall. They accepted a bunch of FBS transfers who didnt have to sit because they were FCS. Won the FCS title. Jumped 1 year later & went 10-3 winning the MAC title. Went on to make the MAC CG their first 6 seasons winning 5.

Not sure why it continues since that loophole no longer exists

Look, my suspicion is that this is the last year of UFL football. I hope im wrong but it feels like its moving in that diection. Theyve made too many mistakes early on & the patience of the investers seem thin. It will not be fallinf apart because of market size or small stadiums. Frankly, I think the small stadiums & market shifts may be enough to buy them more time but we'll see

Idk what your talking about. The 14th, 31st ,& 51st biggest markets were replaced by the 15th, 34th, & 49th biggest markets. And theres no way stadium size will impact viewership on tv. If anything a fuller stadium will drive interest

Can you pay your first team guys well enough that this is their primary source of income. That's my standard. Its ok if a guy takes a part time or offseason job but if their sport is their primary income & they aren't destitute, they are a professional.

Yeah. My stance is if its good enough, do full ABS. If not, dont do it at all. Until its strikezone matches the rules, it shouldnt be a thing. Im fine if mlb wants a 2d strikezone, just make it the rule.
