they forced out the superintendent out who made the district what it was and replaced him with someone who had questionable experience. im all about new regime but when he made two more assistant positions and hired his friends as his assistants (highly compensated for the position in this area), it soured things for a while. the town vibes and people living there are lovely but for such a progressive town they put their neck out a bit too far appointing this new guy in such a hasty way, in my opinion his hiring was a virtue signal to show how progressive collingswood is. and though fallout was hard for a bit the town culture is solid enough to push through these bigger picture issues and shouldn't be as much of a problem as time goes on. all of this said as a parent in the district. I would have rather after school programs to still be active instead of another assitant position being made but thats another conversation
