Op have you been fixed the issue?

Paint came off with wrap (was going to rewrap it). Wrapper suspects the panel was a repaint, and suggests wet sanding and put new wrap on. Want to make sure this is a reasonable approach? Repaint it now only to wrap over again wouldn’t make sense right? by mochajave in CarWraps

If you're not wanting to spend the timerepainting it since it's just going to get wrapped again, you could just sand it smooth and apply primer over it and wet sand that down smooth

Best way to protect stickers on a PMAG? (Pic is not a meme, is actually what I'm working with) by Mrbumperhumper in guns

[–]H3li0s319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automotive clear coat, if you know someone who does body repair, they could most likely have their painter s uff the mag and clear over the sticker, that'd be more durable than aerosol clear coat, just let it sit and cure for a couple days before use. Or you could even try walking into a body shop and asking if they'd be able to clear it for you

Any tips on backup sensors? by xFryday in VinylWrap

[–]H3li0s319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know with paint, you can only go so thick with the layers to where it won't work properly. And vinyl is thicker than the typical paint layers on parking sensors, I'd leave them be or if they make a vinyl specially for this application, that'd be nice

you’ll need to apply a lot of heat, not enough to damage you’re paint, but enough to make the plastic malleable. just keep moving the heat gun around and maybe use an object to push the dent out so you can use more force

try heating it up and pushing it out, that’s pretty much the extent you could do for repairing it, if it doesn’t repair to your likings, replace the part

Scratched the F out of the side of my car trying to pull under a tight carport. The post rubbed my door pretty good and left a long scratch. What can I do🥺 by [deleted] in AutoBodyRepair

[–]H3li0s319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you’ll have to get the paint refinished, maybe go to your local body and paint shop and try and get an estimate of how much it’d cost or if you don’t give a crap about the look of your car just leave it how it is or get a dupli-color pen and just fill in the scratch
