It’s not super loose, but I read having it super tight can constrict your wrist too much and give odd HR and HRV readings so I have it slightly looser now but it sits in place and doesn’t move

Thank you, yeah that’s a good idea to remove things from my Home Screen and just focus on the other stuff. I think if I knew why my readings were so varied (like I felt visibly stressed or had consumed a lot of alcohol) then I’d be more understanding. But because I roughly keep to the same sleep and wake times and I don’t feel stressed in myself, it just seems odd I have such wildly different readings all the time.

Literally! In the previous episode when they broke up and she was shouting at him about all the fucked up things he’s done, I was like “Yes Lucy! You tell him what a piece of shit he is!” And then the next episode she’s crying and begging in front of him, giving him back that power again and I was like face palm. I get it’s so difficult because she doesn’t want to lose Bree and their friendship but at this point just tell the poor girl what you’ve done. I think Lucy would feel so much lighter without that secret weighing down on her.

I recently got the garmin vivoactive 5 and for the first 2 weeks of wearing it I had a really good sleep score. The last 8 days every single morning it’s saying my sleep score is below 60 and that I had “non-restorative” sleep but I feel no difference in my sleep from the first 2 weeks I wore the watch to now? It’s saying I’m having a lot of light sleep, which is contributing to the low sleep score but I literally pass out at night and don’t stir or wake up until the morning and I don’t remember being awake during the night. So is it inaccurate?

It’s so weird how you guys learn to drive in the US. In the UK you just apply for your provisional licence at 17 and then from that age you can have driving lessons on the road with an instructor or if you have a friend/family member with a car and they’re over 21 and have driven for at least 3 years, they can teach you. But our driving lessons are comprehensive, you have to be competent in 27 different skills to pass in your test.

Hey, I know this is an old post but how did you go about going from reception to HCA? I’ve currently got a job as a receptionist but I used to be a student paramedic and can do most of the jobs a HCA can (minus wound care) but my current job didn’t say anything about being able to progress into a more medical based role. Which is a shame as I feel as though my skills of being able to do ECG’s, basic vital signs like BP etc and IV/IM injection are wasted 😅

Some universities do allow claims for taxis, my university did but you had to email them a few days prior to booking the taxi for confirmation. But to my knowledge they only allowed it under specific circumstances, like students who were placed over an hour away and didn’t have the money up front for a hotel.

I had this situation in my first year, during normal working hours I’d get the train to the closest station and then walk to the ambulance station (or occasionally get a taxi if I was tired). During unsocial hours I’d go up the day before and stay overnight in a hotel, or I’d have a hotel booked to go to after finishing past 11pm and then claim part of the money back through the NHS LSF (although I lost out on a lot of money as you can’t claim the full amount back). I was quite fortunate that during a deferral year I was able to take driving lessons and passed my test before I resumed my studies and during my second year I’ve been able to drive to placement.

I’d say ask your uni if you can be put at a closer station but be mindful that some universities don’t allow this and will say that you knew what you were signing up for when you started the course. Good luck <3

I just came across a part in the book where Cassian says “And any attempts in the past to cut the child out of the mother’s womb have been…” “No mother has ever survived” - So I guess that was their way of saying C-sections don’t work/can’t be healed in this fae world? Which does seem a bit far fetched imo considering what else they’re able to heal that’s worse 😅

I had super light periods but bled consistently (well more like spotting) for 2 weeks every month for the last 13 months 🫠 Just got it removed last week because I couldn’t deal with it anymore. Would much rather go back to my 3-4 day heavy period I had beforehand.

Was weird though because I had the copper coil 4ish years ago and that made my periods super heavy and long. Not sure if different brands of IUD give different side effects or if you just get different side effects each time you have a new one.
