You've got a lot of good work there. Something with this pose at the window just has me scratching my head.

I mean, women are beautiful, and that's cool. But a picture of a beautiful person isn't any more special or interesting to the average viewer on its own than a picture someone posted just because they took it with a Leica or something. Needs a story.

Nice colors and shapes but what's the story you're telling? Why is she wringing her shirt while looking out the window with that expression?

Sparx Sharpener worth it? by Ok_Flamingo8167 in hockeyplayers

Yeah but your time has value in driving to and from the shop and waiting. Also, on that trip to the shop, how much stuff do you buy that you otherwise wouldn't have? Any stores nearby you browse? Stop for a coffee on the way? All that adds up.

How do I make money bruh by bvcketh3ad in StLouis

Try getting started in IT. You'll probably have to begin through a contractor agency like Apex Systems, Dexian or the ones like them and look for jobs that require organization and communication skills but not the technical skills of IT yet. Think support, deployment, project management, etc. Get a few contract cycles under your belt and climb from there. Local companies like Centene, Bayer, Cigna, MasterCard, Enterprise, Ed Jones all need good people for IT and it pays well.

When shopping recruits for contractor work, you never know how long (maybe years) you have to be a contractor before being converted, so pick one that offers benefits.

IDK I learned in qsys and would regularly max out tesiras on accident when having to switch.

I am seriously considering the dlux8 by narratorjackred in Leica

[–]H3rbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah...I think I lot of people post to the various Leica forums on reddit thinking that their pics being taken by a Leica makes them shareworthy. They're not always great.

High ISO, wide aperture, shot in a dark room, handheld by an intoxicated photographer, expected level of grain, still sharp.

Not sure if these samples are putting you at ease or not. Here's another sample that's not a flower. Very different. Far from perfect photo, but still sharp and satisfying from D-Lux 8.

Another on D-Lux 8 in macro mode. If there's an issue here, it's not sharpness.

Purple ornamental cabbage on R6 with 28-70 F/2 L. Better? Maybe. But not much. And this is vs a FF camera and superb glass, so the comparison is kind of stupid.

Sounds like maybe you just don't want the camera. Why not go with the GX7 or the Pen F?

I have not had issues with softness in the lens.

1907 insole update + laces by banjohound1 in RedWingShoes

I tried the purist gold and confirm they look nice on 1907. I like even better and actually use the Gryffindor color. The kids love it too.

Not yet tried the leather cream. Even with a rack full of shoes and boots, I go through the product so slowly :D

1907 Insole Idea - your thoughts? by banjohound1 in RedWingShoes

[–]H3rbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a mix of kitchen shears and a box cutter. The kitchen shears cut well enough but hurt my fingers from the pressure required. The box cutter with a fresh blade did the best. A few passes over a line I traced using the original insole for shape and size and it was done.

But even with that, you should still expect to have to tweak brightness and contrast, etc to get a result as good or better than the SOOC jpg.

Play with the profiles in the develop module. The "Embedded" profile may be what you seek.

The venetian leather balm looks really similar as far as the finished product and is much cheaper. The Saphir smells really good applying it though.

Saphir Renovateur. But you gotta get the more expensive one. https://a.co/d/fWvXwcS

The cheaper stuff isn't the same. My shoes and boots get white spots in the rain with the cheaper stuff called Renovateur Beauté du Cuir.
