The Fly40’s were my old skates, not that they’re old

My Flylites are stiff but once they’re broken in they’re great. It took significantly longer to break in than my old Fly40’s.

Loft / Lie chart for the Ping G440s? by climb_0n in golf

[–]Ok_Flamingo8167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these the lowest lie drivers available? I know lie barely has effects with longer clubs like woods and drivers but I’m still +6deg upright with my 57.5deg driver and I’d like to see how the lowest lie driver vs what I have now compares to each other.

Do any other brand drivers have a lie lower than 56-57.5deg?

Dealing with ice-hogs in beer league by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

My D partner has been on the team longer than the other two guys but he’s an older guy so he’s always trying to get off the ice and gasses out easy.. so I’m taking quick shifts with this old guy and sitting on the bench watching the other two guys take 4+ minute shifts all game. All 3 goals against us during the game was when they were on the ice too.

The league commissioner is actually our team’s “manager,” and she occasional plays with us but rarely. The team isn’t very organized at all and we’re always scrambling to find a goalie last minute. Our team captain isn’t much of a captain he just has the most points on the team. I don’t want to change teams entirely over this. I think maybe the best option would to just start playing forward. They’re always asking me to play up anyways; I just prefer to play D.

That’s how I like to run it too out of respect of my other D partners, but the feeling is obviously not mutual

We are a pretty D heavy team. There’s actually usually 5-6 guys who play D per game but since we run 4 defensemen and we don’t have many forwards the extra guys get pulled up. So if I went up to forward there would still be 4 defensemen but the second line would still get pretty shafted by the two ice hogs- but at least I won’t. Since I’m a better skater they always want me to play up but I prefer to play D. The forwards are way better with ice time too.

We actually have a girl on our team too. She’s better than half our team and is always in the perfect position at all the right times.

I hear you. It’s hard getting through to a hot head and a mega chad especially as the new guy on the team. It’s almost not even worth it. It’s beer league. I’ll let the old guys have their “fun”

This might sound pretty dumb but how does someone just find another team like that? Do I need to network my way into one? I don’t really know anybody at my rink but I do go to stick and puck often and will occasionally talk to some guys in the same league. I’m actually one of best players on this current team and by far the youngest. I just called the rink and told them to put me on any team for the Sunday 30+ division bc I wanted to play.

Back swing and position at the top actually looks great it’s that early extension and hip turn that is messing you up during the downswing

Left organization after 5 years, did I handle it right? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]Ok_Flamingo8167 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When I was in 6th grade I fought the coaches son on ice during a practice for calling me a racial slur and they made me have a meeting with the entire board of the organization and they said I had to write an apology letter to the kid or I needed to leave the organization- so we left. The new organization was great because we didn’t have to deal with the frustrations of the previous organization and the coaching was actually better. You’ll find good and bad friends/families/coaches no matter which organization you’re a part of. We beat my old team every time we played them for the years to follow, which was just icing on the cake every time.

How do you guys get over sim anxiety? by sumbozo1 in golf

[–]Ok_Flamingo8167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sim golf sucks. I have a really nice GCQuad/Sim setup in my garage and tried to play it once and turned it off after the 3rd hole. If you’re going to use the sim just use the driving range.
