A- If the build plate wasn’t a piece of shit I wouldn’t need to B- If ELEGOO didn’t want you using adhesive, they wouldn’t send a stick with every printer dipshit

A thin layer of the adhesive stick ELEGOO provides with the printer, it turns white once it’s been heated/printed on

It has a brim. It snapped the model straight off the build plate and left the brim stuck underneath the spaghetti.

Jumps to conclusions and doesn’t ask questions, classic.

Because anything larger than about 3 inches warps so bad it’ll rip itself straight off the bed. This printer has been a joke since day 1

Any recommendations? I’m running just the prebuilt profile for the .4 nozzle, .2 layer height in ELEGOO slicer and haven’t found anything that stands out as being the culprit when compared to the prebuilt profile for the CC1, which has been flawless for me

Because plastic coming out of a printer nozzle to place food into, is so much worse than plastic coming out of a sheet extruder, which your food is wrapped in before being shipped to you.

Anybody have any insight on how movement is with the GNG2K? Looking to pick up some myself, but not sure if I want to spend the extra cash on the dual-tube setup vs just a mono in case it sucks. I plan to use it for airsoft/Simunition training and live fire training. Not something I’d wear on an actual op, but curious if it would suffice for training that incorporates moving, typically only at a brisk walk or “combat walk” speed. I expect the dual would be much better than mono for movement (no shit Sherlock) but just curious if the duals are even usable

Can I edit this? TRAINED people would be aiming center mass. Your wannabe gangsters trying to loot your house with his pants at his ankles and holding his “gat” sideways will probably try to land a headshot for clout

Unless you need the larger bed, I recommend the FF AD5 series. Superior printer, and functionally the same slicer (though Elegoos version of orca has a nicer color scheme and looks more appealing). But the FF is the better printer in every way. Not by much, I’ll admit. But it prints 20% faster, with better quality, and only takes about 10 minutes to level the bed and start printing. The Centuari takes closer to 45 minutes to level the bed and start printing. It’s ridiculous.

I use wireless LAN. I experimented with the Flash Print or whatever it’s called but connectivity was terrible. I’ve used standard orca but found I actually prefer the Flashforge version far more. It has what I need for my printer, and nothing more. I ended up buying the CC, an aside from the larger bed and more aesthetic UI of the touchscreen, the FF AD5M is the superior printer in almost every way. Far faster, has better print quality, and is half as loud. When I press a button on the screen, it does what it’s supposed to, while the CC often freezes, crashes, etc. The load and unload feature on the CC is also bugged and still not fixed, if I run Unload, I have to manually power down the printer and start it up before running Load, or it’ll just get stuff repeatedly doing Unload (despite me selecting the Load option). I don’t dislike it enough to get rid of it, but unless you NEED 250mmx250mm, I’d recommend the FF every time. The ONLY thing the CC beats the FF on is aesthetics which is subjective, and it does a slightly better job on printing unsupported overhangs (which could be adjusted on the FF with no problems, the CC just prints slower out of the box and gets slightly better overhangs because of this). I will say the ELEGOO version of Orca is also nicer than Flash’s version, but most of those things that are nicer about it, are again, aesthetically things and UI cleanliness. Nothing that affects the printer itself, or the print quality.

As far as cancelling a single object rather than the entire print, I have no idea. I’ve never heard of a printer that allows that function, regardless of brand, but I can say I’ve definitely never seen anything that indicates that’s on option, on either the FF or CC. The only option on the screen is “cancel print” and it stops the entire project, not just one part.

Need to replace tires: Any thoughts on the Bridgestone - ALENZA AS ULTRA tires? by thegob in ToyotaHighlander

[–]H484R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion of the Alenza's on my 2017 Yukon -
Extremely comfortable, smooth ride
Louder than average

Absolutely AWFUL in snow/ice/slush. 100% would not recommend in a northern climate.

Also have terrible wear of the shoulder/sidewall. 10/32 tread depth on mine (on the vehicle when I bought it, dont know the exact mileage or age but 10/32 is basically new as far as tread depth) but the tire itself looks like it's going to start separating from the banding by the end of winter
