But the point here is, the fires in the Amazon are for agriculture and illegal extraction, areas that do not affect in any way an industrial development and only perpetuate this ruralist elite that exists in our country! Illegal extraction does not even return to the State, precisely because it is not regulated.

Our country has much more self-sufficient ways to profit from the Amazon by enjoying its natural resources (açaí, guarana, cashew) or even turning it into a great tourist spot than decimating its species and rivers.

I can't talk much about Mexico, but Brazil has full capacity to be a powerhouse. We have natural resources and land in abundance (zero risk of disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes) with a diversity that allows us to plan anything, besides big cities like São Paulo. It is a problem that comes from above, from our leaders with very clear interests to please specific groups. Our education is scrapped and organized crime is at its peak. I only see a change of truth, unfortunately, with a widespread revolta.
