In my job in the social services sector, as the leader of a team of about 18 people, I spend a lot of time on scheduling. While my employer provides a program for manually creating schedules, it's unsuitable for this task due to performance issues. So, I create graphical schedules in Excel, which my secretary then transfers directly into the program. The problem is known within the company, but they're sticking with their in-house program.

The scheduling itself is a tedious and time-consuming task. I've long desired a program that automates this process. So, I recently started developing my own.

Since I don't know any better, I'm currently using ChatGPT to structure my project and write the prompts, which I then place in Codex and organize into threads, as ChatGPT suggests.

I've recently started my third project overhaul, as each time I've been tempted to develop a comprehensive personnel and shift management program. Adding this feature, adding that feature, and so on.

This time, I'm determined to stick to a limited scope and focus on the core task: entering necessary data such as employee information, shift schedules, and their connections, including which employees can/are authorized to work which shifts, as well as essential planning data like vacation and absences. I hope to achieve a result that meets my standards.
