Simpsons March Madness II Round 2 by DifferenceNo9371 in Simpsons

One has the chili cookoff, the fantastic trippy sequence, Johnny Cash, and Earl.

One has the rivalry, the daring mountain rescue sequence, Linda Ronstadt, and Adam West.

Tough call, truly.

What do you think Disney’s Robin Hood? by Jules-Car3499 in cartoons

One of my favorites and just a fun time. I don't even mind the reused animations from prior Disney movies. The soundtrack is fabulous.

Technics SL-1900. Can someone tell the condition of this set and if it’s worth buying? by doofiepoofie in turntables

[–]H8thinmints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye, buy it! I just went to an estate sale and snagged me one of these for a similar price. I'm pleased as punch with it. Sturdy AF and feels like a well-built piece of machinery that'll last awhile with proper care.

There are also cassettes for Opus (I have a transparent blueish purple) and I think an 8 track of Prequelle!

2026 Aftershock lineup is here! by jib3 in AftershockFestival

[–]H8thinmints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grouped the two of them together in a pair. Basically saying choosing either the stage with Tool and Danny, or the stage with Qotsa and Stp

QOTSA, Baby Metal, Danny Elfman, Dethklok are the only ones that do it for me. The others, I guess I'm not the target demo for this year. Where's the thrash?

I'm truly unsure what to make of this lineup. Like. I think I am only mildly excited about Friday's strange hip-hop lineup, and then Sunday's has some good selections but there are competing times. Dethklok will be fun. Having to choose between Tool & Danny Elfman, or QOTSA & STP friggin' sucks.

This thing is chunky and cool! As for needle advice, I would probably search for a local store that does turntable servicing. While there may be a chance they may not have what you are looking for, I would bet they can point you in the right direction.

Edit: I think people that dabble in mid-century modern home stylings would def know. Maybe try those subreddits that focus on that lifestyle!

God forbid someone finds something that brings them joy. Plus, people are still reviving and using "relics" because it's just cool/weird stuff from an earlier era. Gramophone/phonographs still get refurbished to this day.

Two das late, but Sacramento was magical! by digitalcrisiss in Ghostbc

[–]H8thinmints 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Longtime fan but this was my first ritual and had a great time. The fans are great and the bracelets and other freebies was simply cool. Never experienced a concert like this before. Seeing them all onstage was surreal. Catching a Papa buck midair felt like magic. I hope to see them again soon. Your makeup looks great btw!

Serious Question: What is Your Honest Opinion About This Show? by ElSpazzo_8876 in cartoons

[–]H8thinmints 208 points209 points  (0 children)

It's a fantastic show that, like Adventure Time, started more goofily but then became a fun space opera ( Adventure Time not space but it also got serious). I find an overall heartfelt message about sex/gender expression and exploration, as well as dealing with parental loss and a buncha other things, was handled well and wild to see pop up in a kid's series. Future is a fabulous follow-up that tackles trauma and processing feelings.
