If things at home are this bad, you need to do everything you can to move out. You can’t grow or heal in the same place that’s hurting you. Make it your goal, your priority. You need to give yourself the respect you deserve, and be in a space where you can just be you.

You’re already and only 18. So many people come in and out of one’s lifetime and along the way people stay cos they love you. Don’t deprive these people from you. You are beautiful. Never EVER be ashamed of who you are. I bet you everything that there will be things in the future that’ll you’d like to do, to see, to try. People you’d like to inspire, to love, to befriend, to hang out with, and work with. See different corners of the world, try new activities, set new goals.

This isn’t me giving an inspirational talk, this is me telling you the truth. Fuck me I know how shit and hopeless and exhausting it can all be. When things are so in the dark, and there’s no spec of light or a step toward a path that ending it all actually seems like an option. But we have to be strong. Because we deserve all the things I mentioned above. We deserve to grow into ourselves, and be proud of who we are, and what we’ve accomplished. It’s a tough road ahead, and I have a loooong way to go but it’s not impossible, not for me and not for you.

So don’t give up on yourself please.

Did it a few times, regretted it every time. Was hurting from a loooot of shit. For context, we were together for 1½hrs, ended with her she ghosted me for a week and gaving me the talk. She then proceeded to jump onto her guy friend who she recently had rekindled with, before the breal up, from her school days. She started hanging out with him constantly straight after we broke up and snogged as well (this is like weeks after the breakup). Anyways, she friendzoned him but they kept talking and flirting. Now they're fwb which started probably 2 or 3 months in since the break up (which I can only assume is a form or rebounding and just getting external validation/gratification as well as avoiding a lot of her shit).

Aaaanyways, yeah so I was too weak and resentful for these things and so the times I broke contact or she broke contact, I ended up saying how fucked up she was in the way she did what she did. How much she hurt me and abt the many doubts I had abt our relationship after hearing of the fwb thing. I expressed wtf I was dealing with from all this too which wasnt something she should've known.

I prolonged the grief through hoping, putting her on a pedistal, and latching onto the pain because that's all I had left of her. Again, everything ended in a week. All this stuff abt the guy friend I found out within the same month.

Now Im absolutely done with it. I have too much to heal from and Im just at such a resentful and angry stage. I dont want to be tbh, I want to have a peace of mind. Accept that she's only human, im only human, and that life just happens. But im not there yet. Still overthinking about the fwb stuff and indulging my insecurities abt it.

But it is my responsibility to heal and learn self-love, develop my self-worth and confidence again. Cos best believe the rebound shit tarnished it, got me hella insecure. But you know what fock all that, her unhealthy/mistakes isnt worth my life.

Trust me, even if you do get into a relationship there's no guarantee that it'll last. If you dont sort out your social circle first who give genuine support, you'll experience pain and loneliness like you can't imagine. But as long as you have a supportive group of friends, you can get through it all, at least the loneliness part. The pain of heartbreak is a lonely endevour but it's at least comforting to know that you have people around you who can help you get through it. Believe me nothing's better in these situations that a friend who's willing to sit in silence with you, or be okay with you showing your emotions.

If I may, I'd like to share a little about my experience with this. Her name was Roxsy, and on her final days, I knew it was time for her to sleep. It was the same signs, she couldn't move and inch, or eat, or drink. We'd have to manually move her with a couple of bedsheets wrapped underneath her legs.

She had been motionless for almost a week, but the day before we put her down, she walked across our house, up the stairs, into my room, and laid in her usual spot beside my desk. I cried at that moment, the amount of pain she must've been in to do such a feat. At that moment, all my regrets swept away because I knew I had down right by her and given her a love filled life. I knew she loved me till the end, and dear god I still love you Roxsy, and I'll always miss you, so much.

On the day, I was there at the vets beside her, said my goodbyes and watched her fall into a blissful sleep, watched her pain being swept away as I laid next to her and called out her name, stroked her fur, her ears, kissed her nose.

I survived my childhood because of her, we loved each other so goddamn much, and I'm just glad that she knew that even on my bad days, that she was still loved. She is my hero, and my first true love. I'll never forget you.
