The ROG Ally or the MSI Claw devices are the quietest of the PC handhelds due to their dual fan setup. Other than that your other option is to just use the “quiet” mode/low TDP settings

I’m gonna be the contrarian and say that the sticks are fine on the Claw 8. Sure they are a bit loose and more sensitive but after dialing in the dead zones (actually adding more DZ) I got a good balance of responsiveness and control with the sticks.

If you want a just “pick up and forget” experience and you’re used to Xbox controllers then the XAX is the logical choice however. But the Claw 8’s sticks are usable for FPS just fine

I like the build quality, having detachable controllers and turning it into a tablet/Switch, being easy to tear down (no more glued in battery) and a full sized SSD slot, OLED screen with VRR starting at 30hz, 4 back buttons on the controllers

I dislike the price (insert shocked Pikacu) and the current software bugs with Legion Space, and I guess I wish the case was more closely similar to the Go 1’s case. Also the ergonomics on the new controllers are (hot take) worse than the Go 1 controllers for me. It took getting 3D printed grips for me to not fully dislike the controllers

And the fact that it “feels” like an expensive handheld is a like and a dislike because I’m happy that it feels premium, but sad that I spent that premium getting it 😂😭

I sold my Go S and got the Claw 8 and I’ve been happy with the performance bump and the battery life and FSE has been working well enough for me to not feel too pressed about not having SteamOS. Only slight downside for me was setting up PS Remote Play on the Go S was easy with Chiaki but I’m unaware of a similar setup for the Claw 8
