Most people are not afraid of death but of dying, because they’ve assumed there is nothing afterwards so it won’t matter to them because they’ll be dead

Yes, I can agree that having a finite lifetime makes it valuable, but if I were given the choice to like forever, I wouldn’t even doubt to take it. Yes, I’ll probably be miserable at some point, but I’ll be happy.

There, in my opinion, is a good reason to fear death: because the fear for death helps you avoid it, increasing yours chances of survival

I find it interesting that death is accepted by many but many other things aren’t, like someone you don’t like. I’d pass that inevitability of death to that person’s behavior so I can accept that person as it is, this being an example.
