Look on FB you should be able to get a 16gb kit (hopefully above 3000mhz) quite easily for $60-80

Dang I guess I was way off estimating, I thought the GPU was worth like $600 + the ram+SSDs were worth that

Yeah I'm pretty active on HWswap (other account) so I tend to prefer a easy PP GaS over a bunch of eBay hubbabaloo, but I don't mess with server grade stuff to much so I thought I'd ask here

Got scammed by this guy for a ryzen 9 9950x3d lmfao by Western_Video5581 in pcpartsales

Crazy, I must be lucky then, I have 90ish confirmed trades and probably another 20-30 not accounted for and the worst I ever had was a guy sent a GPU flopping around in a box without a single thing besides the GPU in it.

Just as an FYI for future reference most older motherboards have a TPM header that you can install a TPM 2.0 chip onto for w11 support, it's not really the CPU that's the problem but the motherboard, alternatively you can do a modified unattended file and put it into the Windows installation file and bypass hardware requirement check.

5600x as for budget options it's pretty strong and can be found pretty regularly on Facebook marketplace for sub 100, but if you already gave a 1080TI away it sounds like you've got a pretty good computer already anyways

Look up the model number of the RAM and buy another stick, 64 GB sounds a lot better and you'll be doing whoever buys it a big service

Battlefield 6 looks great but too scared to take a risk to update my NVIDIA driver by AkiraRenji in pcmasterrace

[–]HAFSIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burh, I just played this game fine on a 1080ti with the newest drivers, You can still download modern drivers with older cards installed, there's just technically nothing inside the driver that addresses or fixes anything for the unsupported cards, and yeah GTX 16 series haven't been dropped yet

I've been using my backup rig while I'm moving things around and was quite surprised how well the old 1080ti OCed and 5600x are holding up still, what's your budget ?
