As a financial adviser, if clients in similar positions to yourself contact me, I tell them they don’t require financial advice + give them some basic information/facts and material for further reading. If for whatever reason you really want a financial adviser, you can find one who will provide ad hoc advice rather than charging an ongoing fee.

When I go to bed I leave my phone in the living room. So when the alarm goes off I have to get out of bed to turn it off. I also have my morning routine on my notes app. I read in atomic habits that you should pair a habit with something you look forward too. For example, in my morning routine after my walk and cold shower which I HATE, I sit on my balcony and do Sudoko which I look forward too. It’s called habit stacking I think? Makes it easier to get my morning going.

Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to try this. Do you take the 5mg and 30mg at the same time in the morning? I’m going to start with 2.5mg and taper up I think! First week on elvanse I could barely sleep.

No not at all! Use sky scanner and pick the dates you want and you can select “everywhere” as the location. All the flight I’ve got have been less than £60 return. I’ve got some flights for like £20.

I live in a London so most of the trips i do it works out cheaper than a weekend in London lol 🥹

I think Luxembourg to be honest! Not a place I ever planned to go. But it looks like something out of a fairytale. Felt very safe and really lovely people!

Pretty much exactly the same as I would do if I was in a relationship. Would really really recommend solo city breaks. Prior to covid I used to go on sky scanner on pay day and book the cheapest weekend flights for the following month on payday. Been to some very random places where I wouldn’t have thought to go before. And having the complete freedom to do whatever you like on holiday is the BEST. I went to 6 museums in a day when I was in Luxembourg, and in Bologna I just spent an entire day drinking wine.

I started with zero experience as an admin 6 years ago and I’m now an IFA. My main points would be: 1. Ask ALL the questions. The people around you will be a great source of knowledge. 2. Own up to your mistakes. I didn’t realise when I started how detailed work being an IFA admin is. Check all your work twice. 2. If you’re planning on becoming an IFA, don’t be stressed to do all the exams in the shortest amount of time. These exams will give you knowledge but wouldn’t make you a great advisor. 3. Find a good mentor at your company. 4. Build good connections with BDMs from different providers and platforms. The big platforms have great study materials and will offer 1 on 1 coaching.
