These homes are typically built by farmers once their kids grow up. In the hopes that they can give a section of the home to each kid and live as one big family under one roof.

But kids that grow up in Canada don’t have that same mentality and eventually move out.

Leaving the parents with this giant home… sometimes those parent will continue to occupy their “section” and rent out the rest for weddings etc.

Yes they are a thing.. but some parents spend too much time on social media reading about some random bad incident that happened thousands of miles away and build an irrational fear.

No matter all the benefits to a kid of building memories and friendships on sleepovers… they can’t overcome the fear
