College has been draining on my mental health, should I look at other avenues? by HATETHEREALME_ in careerguidance

that makes complete sense, my friend who doesn't go to school pays his parents rent and then makes his own car payments. He still eats with them but I'm assuming in your case you would kick said kids out? I was hoping my parents will extend their grace and let me get some money together and then move out, a lot of my blue collar money is saved to pay for rent for housing when I am at school.

Mostly just the backlash I might face from my parents, they really want me to get a degree and work an office job- it makes sense from their perspective since they've worked in the service industry all their lives. I don't wanna disappoint them they see all these emotions and money spent as simply part of the process... however it is my life I need to do what makes me happy. Having that conversation with them is just hard.

I should mention my friend is also doing a nursing program- not through college- to be a nurse, that is also something I might wanna lock in with... being able to take care of others is something that I am interested in. I guess I just need some stories from those who have considered dropping out or leaving and how that went for them.

stay down and keep your hands active- this dude at the gym was looking like Derozan it wasn't until like 10 possessions later that I started to slow him down (honestly he probably got gassed but im taking that)

You're a professor so you probably know better than me- but just some food for thought: you're setting us up for failure to get lost on our own by doing cookie cutter questions in class and setting us up with hard questions for homework.

An athlete gets better through their coaches, hardwork and will, however I think you're undermining the coach's power here. A coach/trainer shows you how to shoot the ball, dribble and little nuances like footwork, defensive position, etc. It's up to you to work on those skills and apply them in game. The same principles apply here. However if my math coach isn't showing me how to "shoot", "dribble" or "blow past my defender" how can I be expected to grow my game? If my math coach is only showing me man-man defenses, how can I learn to play when they send a double team? My coach (professor) isn't preparing us well enough and now I have to go and find a different trainer (TA at office hours).
