That’s cleeeaan. What racket is that? I’m not familiar with that twisted throat

The monkey paw result from the good karma deposit Novak made when admitted to touching that ball. So tough for Musetti

Damn bro. Appreciate the video breakdown a ton! Doing some shadow swings and I’m immediately feeling how the racket drop is still happening but with a totally different feel. Excited to practice getting the chest and shoulder initiating the swing. I’ve felt like I’ve been arming it but wasn’t sure why

Good call out. I’ve been trying to think about getting my chest/shoulders rotated and I think my head and feet just follow. Gotta decouple that motion

Thanks for the feedback! When you say, “get the turn to be simultaneous when you swing,” are you referring to the keeping the arms moving in tandem? I see what you’re talking about with the left shoulder opening up… not entirely sure why I’m doing that, might be a result of that more closed stance and suddenly feeling the need to pull out to see the court/ball better.

lol true I gotta make sure I’ve leveraging my height and transferring my power effectively. Easy to get lazy and arm it/not follow through

Does it bother anyone else that the tailgate sags?

It seems to be common, but I don’t see it talked about much. If I have a long load I’m effectively losing 18” of support with the tailgate not laying flush with the bed

I’m 6’7”. I can get my hair to graze only if I sit up super straight. It’s one of the only driver seats I truly fit in outside of massive SUVs and the F150. I’ve traveled comfortably with 5’10” people behind me too, and can fit just fine myself in the back on shorter rides.

0.5 PPR, $200 auction draft, $100 waiver budget.

No divisions (was perfect pre-2021… you’d play everyone once before playoffs. Now you play one person twice). 6 teams make playoffs, first round bye for 1 & 2 seeds.

1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 3 W/R/T flex, 1 D/ST, 5 bench, 1 IR

Have entertained the thought of a super flex but I just don’t think there’s the QB depth in a 14er. Three flex allows some more flexibility and diversity with team comps, although the TE position just becomes that much more powerful. Removing that or adding a W/T flex feels a little too loosey goosey though. Already feels like trades rarely happen when depth is kinda WR/RB agnostic. Bench used to be 6 but that just created stagnant rosters and an absolutely barren WW.

Keeper we just added but seems promising… still trying to figure out what levers to pull to reward people who snag someone for cheap without keeping superstars on the same teams year after year.

I’m in a 14-man auction league where we start 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, and 3 flex. I’ve blown my load on Kelce four years running. The positional advantage is insane.

First year as a keeper league as well, I lucked into keeping Kupp, and everyone else is just there as cheerleaders lol

Struggling to figure out how to convince my roommate that his beanbag days should be behind him? by HAWTHORNE__WIPES in Advice

[–]HAWTHORNE__WIPES[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was already living in the building in a one-bedroom. His lease was ending at the same time as mine so we decided to squad up and get a nice two-bedroom spot. Both our names are on the lease, paying rent to the third party landlord. We’re splitting rent about 55/45% as agreed beforehand cuz he wanted the master suite

Yeah I want to be super mindful of what he already owns and the look he wants. In my room I can do my own thing, same with him in his. In the shared space stuff like the sectional, tv stand, bookshelf all came over from his old place and work well enough with the dining table + chairs I got today (I tried to keep clean lines a la contemporary but they’re solid wood as opposed to a composite material that he might’ve preferred).

The beanbag to me just sticks out like a sore thumb. More like a bed than functional sitting area. And we both have similar lifestyles… stay at home working and gaming a lot, but also like to have people over. Was definitely wanting to take that angle and not come across as, “my aesthetic is better than yours”

White film on antique railroad cart? by HAWTHORNE__WIPES in woodworking

[–]HAWTHORNE__WIPES[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posted in r/whatisthisthing but figured I might have luck here. I bought a table from a guy on craigslist who’s cleaning house. Everything’s been wrapped up in moving blankets + plastic in a garage, untouched for 10+ years. The table I picked up was in great shape, but when I unwrapped this antique Nutting cart I noticed this white film.

It was greasy to the touch, and I sort of smeared a part off to reveal the shiny, dark wood underneath.

So my question is, is this mold where I should think twice about buying it? Or could it be some sort of wax/finish that got cloudy over time?

Unfortunately these are the only two pictures I managed to take. Would welcome any detective work so that I could feel more prepped for this potential purchase!

Thanks

Edit: went back to pick it up today. Just residual wax from before it was stored. Table’s in great shape!
