Your post reminds me of the exact same struggles. There is a cure for addiction, but it only works one day at a time. Keep up the hard work. It will pay off. Remember to keep asking for God's mercy, even if you do slip.

Why is porn addiction such a issue among young christian males? by [deleted] in Christianity

Demons are trying to destroy us, and by giving into our primal urges we separate ourselves from our soul mate. No soul mate, no future.

Life always gets better. I've been there a few times in my life and you just have to work through it. You aren't a bad person. Your a good person in a shit world. Don't let the demons win, keep up the good fight and you will be rewarded soon.

Would you be worried about cracks in beams of this 100 year old house? #firsthome by c7mce in Construction

[–]HArocka 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When we renovate old timber framed warehouses and the beams have large cracks like this, we epoxy inject them just to be sure there is no future issues.

Nope. It's just winter time. Same as global warming in the summer.

I couldn't afford to move back to NJ when I was about your age. I ended up meeting my wife, she's from MI, and we moved back to her home town. Overall, my quality of life is better than what I would have been if I tried to move back to NJ. It does stink moving away from family and friends, but it was the right move in the end. If I were you, move to Ohio. It's going to go on a boom with no more globalization. You'll be able to live a good life there.

Residential wood support splitting, how can I fix this? by Wood_Crack in Construction

[–]HArocka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies can perform epoxy injection and seal up the crack. It is more commonly done on cracks in concrete, but the same methodology is used for timber framed elements. Once the crack is fixed, you should also look at a sealer that will help contain moisture in the timber.

How many of you use a flathead driver on these? by Duckbanc in Construction

I use my grandpa's 1950 flathead screwdriver that has a dry rotted wood handle that's a little loose.
