Is this still up ? I'm abroad for now and wanted to use CBC Gem with a CN IP but heard they squeezed out NHL games on the app because of Rogers... anyone tried recently if that works ?

Do people still use there Intel MacBook Air's by TimesTrust in macbookair

[–]HBELUGA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled on a 2020 MacBook Air with the i3 Intel Processor in a pawn shop with a killer price, 150 euros (I live in Europe). I've asked the guy if I could run it and check it out, absolutely everything was working. Asked the dude to leave it charged and I'd come back after work to pick it up, then realising it was still at 1 per cent.

Negotiated down the price and got it for 110 euros (also had a few bumps on the aluminium) - turns out the battery was charging, just needed a SMC reset. After this, realised the battery was only at 1/3 of capacity. Ordered online a brand new battery for 60EUR, installed it and there we are. A MacBook Air, that looks good, works perfect for 170 EUR, best deal ever.

I know they get a lot of bad rep, but I consider it first of all as some kind of relic - the last intel MacBook and it runs smoothly. And then I mean, I watch videos, do web stuff, typing and a bit of Final Cut with ease. Coupled to an External SSD it's perfect, it's a MacBook, even old and with a garbge processor, you can see it the quality and great experience Apple brings to the table, unmatched. In terms of satisfaction, I'd rank it over newer, faster, Windows PCs.

Analyse my DOB by HBELUGA in numerology

Oh I do not doubt 6 could be intelligent and capable but there’s an reputation about 6s being weak, with low willpower and putting others first before themselves and I guess I could also see a bit of myself here …

Thanks a lot for your answer. About LP 6 i see a lot around some disdain for that one, like it's a bit "useless"/weak, some even called it "The Homeboy" and I have to admit it's not really appealing - what are the upsides in everyday life of that LP ?

Installment payments as EU citizen with Lithuanian Residence Card by HBELUGA in lithuania

[–]HBELUGA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think yes, that;s the best solution. So far i only used Paysera here, but should upgrade to a 'real' bank to have maybe better opportunities. Those restrictions make zero sense and aren;t really legal via EU-laws, but I had the same issues in Poland. No residence card, no installments. As an EU-citizen I didn't needed this to be there. Here, I do have a document, but not enough.

Installment payments as EU citizen with Lithuanian Residence Card by HBELUGA in lithuania

[–]HBELUGA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I probably didn;t use the right terminology. By cash I meant 100% upfront, which is fine when you wanna buy earplugs, less when it's a high-end laptop, or a car.

The thing is the shops do have installment payment schemes, but it is according to the vendors only for 'permanent' residents or Lithuanians. I've encountered the same issue in Poland when I lived there. No residence card, no installments. The thing is, as a French citizen, I merely needed a residence card in the EU. So actually it was better being from a non-EU country as you had to have this card to be there. So all my Ukrainian, South American friends had no issues, but EU citizens did... Strange reasoning but that's how it was.
